This sit-on-Top Kayak is perfect for all skill levels. Its a touch over 10 feet and stable, quick, sporting a design for tracking, and the finish on top has a slight grain to it, increasing the traction. The dapper color is epic! Have taken it out 3 times now, twice on the inlet and once on calm ocean. All three times the Pescador handled nicely. Dont forget to get plugs for the drains if you go on cold water. You will need 6, they usually come in 4 packs. Can't go wrong with this one. The entire Perception and Wilderness lines are dependable kayaks. I have the Wilderness 14 foot Tsunami sit -in Kayak, which I adore. This Pescador sit-on-top is a totally different experience.

The kayak is beautiful and has a great seat/backrest. Large storage area and well. It has built in handles so they won’t break (previous kayaks the handles would slide right out the side of it, couldn’t even glue/foam them back in). It does sit up a tad bit higher than my others, so be sure to control movement and pay attention when going over shoals, etc. I want to brag on the delivery service: I didn’t even know Amazon could deliver big items like this. XPO Logistics were AMAZING! Confirmed delivery date and times day before and day of. They unloaded the product, put it wherever I asked, let me inspect it. They were so kind! Came in perfect condition. Very happy!

This was a kayak up-grade gift to myself this spring. It’s a great boat, I would give it 4.5/5 stars because there’s a few things I don’t love. First as everyone mentioned it tracks well, is stable, and is a fun boat. While it does have ample storage room, the thing I miss most is having a dry storage area in the center of the boat. Very useful for keys, cellphone, sunblock stick etc. There’s even an outline in the plastic in that area for such a compartment, so it’s strange there isn’t one. The second thing that I don’t like is the rear storage bungee is just too short. I had a medium dry-bag and a small chair back there yesterday with so much more room to have had 3x that load, but the cord snapped back at me 4x as I was definitely straining it’s length to hold down that small load. I can definitely replace that, but I wish it came with a better bungee.

Nice kayak very comfortable and tracks well. Love the color as well. It has a lot of dry storage in the front. It is easy to get into and out of. I would definitely buy again if I was in the market for another one.

I feel lucky to have been able to secure a kayak in the current environment. I checked in with a local dealer about availability and they had nothing and no idea when something might come in. When I mentioned Amazon had one in stock, they said "buy it now". So, I ordered it. Delivery was about a week later than originally promised. It went from Greenville, SC to Charlotte, NC to Ohio (?) back to Morrisville, NC (which is much closer to Charlotte than anything in Ohio) and then transferred to the last leg carrier, who took their time. The delivery day kept changing. After planning to be available for delivery on the scheduled day, they came a day early and dropped it off without notice. No signing, no inspection. However, it was well packaged and completely undamaged. If there had been damage, this could have created some issues. As for the kayak itself, I've very happy with it. The seat is comfortable and the footrests work well. I'm 6'0" and I fit well in the kayak. The footrests are in the next to last position and I may move them up a notch as I decide what position I prefer. The interior stays bone dry. The elastic cord that keeps the seatback upright or down broke early on but Perception was quick to ship me a replacement. I don't hesitate to recommend this kayak or Perception kayaks in general. If you're taller than 6'1" or so, you might want to look for a longer version.

Only been out once so far but I love it! Wanted a good quality brand kayak with useable dry storage compartment, cargo compartment, adjustable footrests, and accessory rails in a sub-11 foot length - not a lot of kayaks that fit the bill for under $1k. This one hit all the requirements and is great on the water. Good thing I bought it when I did - price went up over $200 right after purchase! Shipping took a few weeks but I was able to select my delivery date based on my availability.
