This really a 3.5 review. The kayak itself is a great float. Love the hybrid concept. I’ve rode a Perception Outlaw and was blown away by the comfort of the seat. I was beyond disappointed with the seat on the High Life. Zero back support. It was an online purchase and had I seen prior to purchase I may have chosen something different. The rudder fell off on the 2nd float. I have to buy another now. And the balance rope to assist in standing up was not included in the packaging.. I also question if this was a returned product, as it arrived with a few deep scratches. ... show more

Love this kayak/paddleboard hybrid. I was nervous to purchase based on reviews about shipping but glad I still did. Initially I was sent the wrong kayak which I think happened because on my delivery I didn’t specify I wanted a scheduled delivery and somehow wires got crossed in some warehouse and two guys showed up at a random time (thank goodness I was home otherwise they would have just left it) with the wrong kayak (not even remotely close to what I ordered). The replacement order I did choose that option and the whole experience was much better. Kayak came on time and wrapped well. Order this for Father's Day and the kayak/paddle arrived with a large hole and some scratches. So sad not be able to use it. We're returning it right away and hope the next one arrives in good conditions so we can change our rating.

We love these kayak's ( SUP ) not only did we buy two after trying one out fun to take on the lake but my sixteen year old granddaughter went for a three hour river run with me . Now this is not a classed river only a really nice kayaking river in our little town but we had a blast . Not only can you take all your liquid drinks in the cooler section the back was nice to have a bag with sunscreen , bug spray , and everything else a grandma can think to put in to go on a float . Great memories . both my kayak's fit in my truck bed and I just throw and go . ... show more

I generally really like this kayak. The seat is comfortable, but a better option than retrofitted foot braces would be nice. It's reasonably stable with the fin, but my fin disappeared in the lake the 3rd or 4th time I used it. There seems to be a problem with the fin falling off. I have a large dog (85#), and he's struggling to find a comfortable place to lie down. I got a mat to put over the center/cupholder, which helps. All in all, I'm happy with it and glad I have it, but if you like to keep your fin and like to bring your big dog, there are downsides. ... show more

The features are great. Option to stand or sit with a cooler/storage is to me a no brainer. I get a lot of compliments from other fellow paddle boarders. No issues maneuvering or carrying.
