Ordered for use in a pottery class I am taking, but these sponges are not very thick nor absorbent. I was hoping they'd be like some our instructor has, but they don't work very well for wheel-thrown pottery work.

The sponges serve their purpose. They work well for saturating water color paper. They do not crumble when I put pressure on them. And they look like a deliteful breakfast snack. Although, I do not recomend you eat them.
