Hung these under our fishing camp for the kids and they love them. My wife loves them too. They were very easy to install and after 3 months they have held up nicely so far. The wood gets a little discolored but we are on the bay and have the Louisiana humidity to deal with. So far so good.

This is the prettiest swing seat I ever owned! Even being 57 years old I still love to swing! With its shape/ slots the rain water can not stay on the surface as good vs. a solid peace of wood. That should make this swing last a long time, if I take it inside in the winter. I only wished it was a little wider. This is more intended for kids than for grown ups! :) But if you are small built like me, that is not a problem.

We have this hanging on our back porch. I like this design for our four year old. It's very easy to adjust the length, which I like. The downside of that for me is that it doesn't look as nice. Some extra rope and hardware rather than just the classic look of an old fashioned rope swing.

I love relaxing in the swing! It was easy to hang and adjust (although I did buy some extra straps to wrap around the branch because the ropes weren't quite long enough without them). I bought some sealant for it because it was suggested it might not hold up to sun and rain, but the sealant wasn't necessary (it didn't absorb on the test spot I tried on the underside and the sealant can said that meant the wood didn't need it). I've had it almost 3 weeks and it's been out in the sun and rain and so far everything is great. The swing is contributing to my happy summer, making me relive carefree childhood days.

Normally I read reviews of others before buying. Specifically, I try to focus on negative, yet objective, feedback about the product itself before buying. In the case of this swing, I simply based my decision on the 4.5 rating as opposed to more detailed review of feedback. I did note, during install, that the actual swing seat was relatively thin, but I had assumed it would be durable based on reviews. 2 months into use in our backyard, I noted the seat had turned black, with mold and the seat retains a great deal of moisture. I have had to decommision the swing as the mold stains my kids clothes, and MOM gets mad. My mistake, was that their were countless reviews documenting this same problem. Had I simply read them I would not have bought this product. I live in MD where humidity is relatively high, and strongly discourage anyone from purchasing this item. If you live in more arid areas it might be OK.
