I recently invested $1.400.00 In a hunting rifle. For $200.00 there is no better protection for this investment. This quality product is very well made and water tight as is all pelican cases. It also has wheels and a handle on the end if needed. Custom cut the foam for the case contents and your friends will be impressed. I used a Sharpie marker and a sharp fillet knife. Mark the foam on the reverse side and be sure to cut straight up and down. Also room for other cut outs such as slings, knifes, box of bullets, ect. The foam holds the scope in place. For the price of a cheap scope you can get the best case out there. This is my third pelican gun case. I also have the storm 3300 for my shotgun and the 1200 case for a hand gun.     • Durable Case to Protect Your Equipment
Great case. Heavy, durable, and well made. Foam easily cut to shape for objects stored. The outside takes stickers nicely. Large enough for a full sized rifle - I have a 22" barrel/42" OAL that fits well in there, and I still have room to put a pistol or a smaller rifle (like a Henry .22 lever action). If you need a durable case to protect your equipment, I'd say it'd be hard to go wrong with this. ... show more

    • Finally bought a Pelican......worth every penny.
I finally took the plunge and bought a Pelican. I have used many knock off Planos thru the years and they work great, but the fit, finish, latch quality, foam density of the Pelican is a true step above. I am now a customer for life. Update 2016 - I am buying another one! GREAT case!

    • Strong case, lock areas not reinforced
I was able to use the foam from the original firearm packaging in the case. Only complaint is the lack of reinforcement of the areas for padlocks, (why take a hacksaw to a good lock when you can just cut the area made of plastic). Otherwise the case is a great.

    • Rolls nicely and has great snaps
I custom cut this foam with a hot wire that I made myself. Afterwards, when I first put my rifle inside I felt that it would last a nearby asteroid explosion. This case is built extremely tough and well worth the money if you looking for production of whatever it is your protecting inside. Rolls nicely and has great snaps. It locks and is waterproof.     • Ships beat up.
This product came scratched up with boot prints all over it. The foam is intact so it is not used for all I know. How would this ever be given as a gift?
