I love this kayak <3 I've been a paddleboarder for awhile now and recently decided I wanted to try kayaking. My vehicle does not have a roof rack and I was nervous about trying to take it on and off by myself easily since I'm not very strong. I have a standard minivan so I was really hoping I could just throw it in the back of my van for easy transport. When I first got it I was blown away by just how pretty it was but it look BIG, I had my doubts but it actually fits perfectly into my van with the 3rd row and 2nd row middle seat down, I can even still see all three mirrors easily because of the narrow bow! I can get this kayak, my two kids, myself + another adult, and 3 uninflated paddleboards into the van for a fun family adventure day! After some practice I also discovered I can somewhat easily hoist it over my shoulder (balancing the padded part on the shoulder) and carry it shorter distances, and I am not very strong!. Love the dry bag and convenience of the phone holder. Cockpit is large enough I can easily take my my 8 year old in it as well...I actually haven't gotten the chance to use it solo yet but it's already so easy to paddle even with the extra weight! The chair is sooooo comfortable, and easy to take in and out for chilling at the beach when your not out in the water. I even used it as a gaming chair one , lol! Recommend!

We ordered two kayaks and have only taken them out once due to weather, but they are so much better than our inflatable ones. There were very easy to put on our wheeled carriers to take across the street to the lake. We can easily take them up a hill, to my delight! (I'm a 67-year-old female.) Amazon's delivery and customer service was superb. They fit both of us well. I am 5’4” with a thin build. My husband is 6’2” who is also thin. He has no problem getting in and out. His pedals still have one more notch to go. Mine are almost all the way up. Of the two kayaks, one was perfect and the other one came damaged at the stern. It had a large dint, but we didn't notice it right away. Amazon agreed to replace it. A week later, the replacement came, and it was also dinted at the same spot. The drivers took both dinted kayaks back. A few hours later they canceled the order. I reordered it again, by then the price had dropped $60.00. No complaints there! A few days later they delivered an undamaged kayak. Overall, the experience was painless, and it helped that I saved some money. Anybody who buys one of these kayaks should thoroughly check it before the drivers leave. All the drivers were very courteous and helped unwrap the kayaks and turned them over so I could inspect them. Though there were a few hiccups, I am happy with Amazon and the kayaks. Now we just have to wait for spring.

I spent many, many hours looking for a kayak that would work for my needs and I am so glad I chose the Argo 100XR Cosmos. I wanted a kayak that was easy for me to load/unload from my car on my own, handled well on the water, had space for camera gear and with a high back seat. Looking at other reviews indicating damage upon arrival, luckily mine was fine, although I was really surprised as the packaging was minimal. Just thick plastic (no padding) wrapped around the kayak. I am not an expert in kayaks, so my review is based purely upon comparisons to rentals. I was very nicely surprised at how easily it handled and glided through the water. Also very stable, so no feeling whatsoever of it tipping over. I love the high back seat providing good support and it really helps when using a camera as it provides extra stability. The seat is also both removable and adjustable and works great as a camp chair. The water bottle holder is very handy as is the paddle holder on the side and other areas you can hold down your gear. You can also attach a GoPro or similar gadgets on the front. The storage in the back stays dry although I also use a dry bag as well to be extra safe. I have used the kayak in choppy water and it handled fantastic. I have not however used it in the ocean. The inside has remained totally dry except for the times when I have unintentionally splashed water with the paddles or dragged in water with my wet shoes. I really like the padded knee pads and the adjustable foot rests making my time spent on the water very comfortable. I highly recommend this kayak and it looks really nice too. I just love the colors! I also purchased a Pelican Poseidon paddle at 89" which is the size is perfect for this kayak and an Old Town Solitude Women's life jacket.

Purchased two of these back in Sept and continue to use them even in near freezing temps (using drysuit). If you just want to get on still water or class 1 (slow moving with no rocks) this vessel is for you, very comfortable. I was able to navigate some class 2 (faster with rocks but clear passages) on this but took on some water (would not use in class 3). These boats are light, easy to carry, comfy seating, stable in water and bungees in very convenient places. But... thermo-formed polyethylene haul very easy to scratch and vulnerable to dents. One of mine was delivered with the stern pushed in, tested in water with the dent and boat pulled to the right constantly, Amazon quickly replaced (hence no class 3). Final verdict: I love them, will get years of leisure use from them, but my intense side laments the performance limits they have. FYI. Designed and built my own ceiling rack for them using a 2x4 and some structural screws. Happy to send out a drawing for any DIY’ers.

Great conveniences like phone holder, water bottle holder, front storage bungees, rear waterproof compartment for storage of destination items that need to be kept dry until you get where you're going. Also the most comfortable kayak seat I've tried and it easily removes to use on the beach. Good value for the money. It tracks straight even in a 10 to 15 mph wind gust.

For this price point, this kayak is great. I’ve had two others, so not my first kayak. It is light weight- which was what I needed, but also comfortable with foot rests and knee pads attached in just the right spot for comfort. The cockpit is roomy enough I fit (5’5” 122 lbs) along with my 26 pound Lab-doodle pup who loves the water. I am super impressed with the lock tight water proof storage! This may be its most impressive feature! I fit water shoes, paddle gloves, hat, dog water vest, two frog tog towels, extra beach towels (2 one for me- one for pup), dog tether, floor mat, phone, drink, lunch bag, Kayak Lasso lock…and I can still get more in if needed. It maneuvers and tracks well. Oh, and I LOVE THE PADDLE HOLDER on the side of the kayak- brilliant! The only thing I felt it needed, and I added, was D rings to attach tether for dog leash that attaches to her life jacket so when she bails (she loves to jump in the water) she is tethered to the boat and I don’t worry about us getting separated . The D-rings cost me $10 and I tried gluing them, but that did not work. Instead I went with a double sided 3m patch that almost matches the size of the D ring patch. I think the 3m was another $10. So to add $20 in D-rings for extra latching and safety, not a big deal. Overall, I absolutely would buy this again- and am considering purchasing another one. How could they make it better- add a small wheel to the bottom side of the stern for easier moving around on land. I bought a C-tug for it but would have loved skipping this added purchase. I’ve seen kayaks with the built in wheel in the back -so I hope that Argo reads this review and considers this small upgrade.
