From my research, this is by far the most affordable and quality fishing kayak on the market. I looked and looked and looked. Went to the big box stores and could not find anything close in price, engineering and quality for under $1,500. We bought a Pelican cooler years ago and they make super quality products at a fraction of the price of others. Just a few minor scratches due to delivery but what can one ask for? It's a 10' 8" 63-pound boat wrapped in plastic out the back of a delivery truck? Took two guys to bring to deliver and probably just going to drag it to the water anyway. I added some Gorilla heavy duty tape to the bottom to help alleviate wear and tear...we'll see if that works. Now searching for the best trolley that fits the hull. Can't wait to get on the water, explore, fish, and get a little tan. ... show more

My husband purchased this, has never been in or used a kayak before so he was very skeptical. He has now enjoyed two kayak trips and is very excited about many more. At 10.5 ft one of the shortest. I can move this one without flags or roof racks. Quality is ok. Foot rests are a bit flimsy but ok. Nothing broke so far. The plastic scuffs up easy, not to be dragged across pavers or concrete. The rudder is -well its there, has not fallen off. The bungee cords in front and rear are nice, I would have to install some if they were not there already. ... show more

I was out fishing for 7 hrs and i enjoyed it. The seat is really comfortable. You can also stand on this and it pretty stable. The skeg definitely keeps you straight while paddling. I put the trolling motor on mine and it’s awesome. Great fishing kayak

This kayak is big and heavy. It's about a 1 foot maybe 1 1/2 foot wider than other pelican kayaks. The skeg is kind of cheesy, looks week, but functional. Over all its a good buy, it will last for years just like my other pelican kayaks.

This Kayak feels very stable, and doesn't bow in when I'm standing on it, which was an issue I saw with ascend brand kayaks when I stood on them. Very spacious and feels like really good quality. This would get a five star for me if it didn't come with a like 1/8 inch deep gash taken out of the bottom from shipping, I'll be using kydex with a heat gun to add on a gaurd to the bottom so it won't be a huge issue but definitely wish it didn't come in pre-damaged! ... show more
