While this roll of vinyl flooring may serve as a floor covering temporarily, it does not have the necessary strength to withstand the traffic of walking on it, having pets run across it, or children playing roughly on it. You will want to note that this flooring is very similar in thickness and stiffness to contact paper or textured wallpaper. If you are trying to color match, the color of walnut brown is almost the same as the walnut color of faux wall panels (see photo attached to this review for reference).

These peel-and-stick tiles completely transformed my utility in a single afternoon after I (unexpectedly) had to rip out the carpeting. They were easy to apply and while they don't look exactly like real wood, it's passable, which I didn’t expect for vinyl. They’ve held up very well so far with no peeling or warping. For the price, I’m thrilled with how they turned out and would definitely use them again.

Economical way to add a protective vinyl surface to floors or walls. I have also tried manufactured wood peel-and-stick "planks" that look much more like wood than these (and are thicker) but which are also in a much higher price range. Personally I prefer the look of the other style but if budget is a concern, this is better value, you get a much larger quantity for the same price. It comes in two rolls and smells pretty strongly of vinyl when you first open it. It needs to settle and air out for a while. Advantage: Because it comes in strips, it has flexible applications, you can more easily get around pipes, closet protrusions and other obstructions by cutting it with a good sharp knife and metal ruler. It might work best in a utility closet or workshop. Disadvantage: The main problem is there's no overlap and no matter how tightly you try to place the "planks" side-by-side, strip vinyl always tends to collect grime in the cracks. I'm using this for a splashboard behind a sink and it's working fine for that but personally I prefer large sheets of vinyl (instead of strips) for floor areas, to avoid having so many dirt-collecting seams.

I'm not really thrilled with seeing these floor "planks" being rolled up so tightly. I have no idea how long they have been sitting in a package, rolled up like this, but I am STILL trying to get them flat.

I recently had an overflow/spill problem under my kitchen sink which did visible damage to the wood in the cabinet beneath. Rather than repair/replace parts of the cabinet, I just decided to cover it up with something peel-and-stick, which would also hopefully prevent future water damage. Since it is inside a cabinet and not in plain view, I was not too worried about matching the wood grain, just something close enough. This stuff was EXTREMELY easy to apply, laid flat despite being shipped in a tight roll, and I think it would look OKAY depending on the application. I don't think it would be the best choice for primary, visible flooring in an important room like a kitchen, but looks OK if not better than any other basic peel-and-stick tile. My biggest issue with it is the texture - although the print is of a wood grain, the texture is more like reptile skin, and in any angled light it makes it much harder to even see the wood grain. Once you lay a bunch of them down can notice the subtle wood patterns, as long as it's not in harsh light, but it wouldn't fool anyone for a second into believing you have real wood or even laminate wood planks.

I couldn't believe how well these actually worked considering the low price and roll-out peel & stick format. I decided to try them in a small bathroom where the floor was faded and it couldn't look much worse, so I didn't think it was much of a risk. I opened and unstretched the rolls ahead of time, but I'm not even sure I had to do that too far ahead because the adhesive really did stick well, at least in our situation. I prepared the floor well ahead of time so it was very clean, smooth, and dry. The vinyl flooring is medium thickness and easy to cut to fit around difficult shapes - much easier than other types of flooring. I staggered pieces that I cut to make it more like rustic planks. And when I was done it looked amazing in comparison to how it had been before. The flooring has a natural light woodgrain appearance that is very pretty, and so far has been staying in place well, even in a pretty wet environment. We don't get tons of water on the floor and have rugs, but it's a bathroom with a tub, so you want the vinyl to truly be waterproof or water resistant. I think this is a great incredibly inexpensive option if you don't have much to spend and need a facelift in an area that is already not very attractive looking. It was easy to install, seems sturdy, and looks really quite nice and authentic.
