Mine came dented in the very top but I decided to keep it because it doesn't effect the ladders operation. I see people criticizing this for having to large of a lower step, and they don't know what they are doing. You have to extend this ladder from the bottom first leaving any unpacked steps at the top, because you aren't supposed to step on the top ones anyway. This ladder shouldn't be used as a bridge, it will support vertical weight fine, but don't try laying out diagonally to much, it will likely bend. Overall your is a handy ladder. ... show more

Mine does not always lock into place when raising it. Some sections require some wiggling or extra attempts at raising for them to fully lock into place. I discovered this when I went to climb a rung and one side of it was not locked into place and nearly gave out. Since then I pay special attention when raising it to make sure that each section's mechanism is snapping into place on both sides of the ladder before raising the next section. Doing this way eliminates the problem, but is just a bit of a hassle. ... show more

Used for clearing Brush, in a Fire hazard area. Very easy to use. I was just caught out by the uneven Step spacing, when coming back down! Not fully extended for this task, to get onto a Roof (unused Steps were stacked). It seemed a bit too flexible, compared against a more rigid (and much heavier) convertible & extendable Step Ladder previously used. Still, much easier to move around, and store. I bought this so I could het up higher to put roap around a tree I need to fell so I can control the direction of it falling so it doesnt land on my house. but when I extend it out far enough to get it to where I need it it gets really sketchy. Twisting and bendy and not stable at all.
