The seven- panel construction minimizes seams while offering a near-perfect fit around our legs and hips. These are well worth the extra cost, excellent padding and they are great at wicking the moisture away!! I can spend upto 4 hours on the bike with no issues. Highly recommend!!

I have used this bib for a few races, intense canyon climbs, and casual training rides. I cycle/race just over 6K miles per/year. Some of my rides are over 100+ miles. So I am always looking for a bib built for long endurance rides with optimal comfort. Basically a put it on and forget it's there type bib. I would rank this bib in the top 3% best bibs I've ever used. The bib is extremely comfortable and very soft. I love the feel of the fabric. It is not grainy. The texture of most bibs feel like a very fine sandpaper, or a course fabric. This one feels like smooth polished glass. Almost like silk. It is very nice. The chamois is also smooth and covers a very wide area. The seat portion is thick, very firm and very robust. Like if you try to pinch it with your fingers, it resists like a firm gel. It doesn't easily smash in together. It is very firm and provides excellent padding. In fact, the first time I sat down on a chair to put my shoes on while wearing these, I immediately noticed a huge difference between the padding on this bib verses others I have worn. It was very comfortable. I can easily see these being used for ultra distance bike rides over 100 miles or more. The anti-slip silicone on the leg openings are nice and wide. The legs stayed secure during all my rides, and did not hike up my leg. The overall quality is outstanding. No loose material, fibers or stitching was noticed. They were no tight locations that pitched or caused irritation while riding. The fit was fantastic. My only complaint however, was that Peal Izumi did NOT have a sizing chart? So I had to take a guess based on prior bibs I have worn. I would suggest if you have a certain size you always tend to order for your bibs, that you stick to that size when ordering these. Seemed to work for me. Hopefully in the future, they will put sizing charts for consumers. I also have issue with the pricing. These bibs...as good as they are...I don't believe warrant or justify such a steep cost. I use other bibs that are just as good as these, with cargo pockets, for $85 per bib. So....? I don't understand the pricing? But... if you have the money and pricing doesn't bother you, then these bibs are an excellent buy. Perfect for ultra endurance in total comfort.

In this review, I figure it be helpful to many of you to focus on comparing this item to the common old-style Performance bib shorts, which should give many of you an idea of what to expect from this product. 1) There is much more padding on the (ahem) back-side of this pair, but very little on the (ahem) front-side. The area covered by the minimal front padding is much wider and higher. 2) This pair has no hems, not ANYWHERE. I've never seen anything like this on any type of garment. 3) This pair is made of a single type of fabric everywhere. The performance bibs have a more breathable almost-mesh fabric above the waist. Otherwise, this pair is more comfortable than my performance bibs, and the logo is positioned and colored in a way to not attract attention to it (classy move, Pearl Izumi).

My husband has never been a fan of bibs but absolutely loves this pair. The chamios pad is extra thick and comfortable. The spandex is thin, light weight, and sleek. The thighs stay in place comfortably and the shoulder straps are thin and lay flat.
