  • A Great Budget-Friendly Tire with Some Considerations
Color: 700c x 38mm Style: Cruiser/Standard Pattern Name: Bike Tire
I recently purchased the Pearhead Schwinn Replacement Bike Tire for my hybrid road bike (700c x 38), and after using it for a couple of weeks I must say that it has performed rather well for its price point. Below are my observations: Pros: Inexpensive: You really can't beat the price. If you are on a budget and need a decent replacement tire, this one is a great option. Lightweight: The tire is lightweight, making it a breeze to handle and doesn't add unnecessary weight to the bike. Supports 75 psi: You can inflate it to 75 psi, giving you a good performance on different road conditions. Cons: Takes Time to Get into Shape: The one major drawback is that the tire takes a couple of days to get into shape. It means you can't install it immediately, which can be a bit inconvenient if you need your bike urgently. Weak Side Wire: The side wire that supports the wheel doesn't feel very strong. While it hasn't caused any issues so far, it does make me wonder about long-term durability. Advice to Future Buyers: During installation, keep pressure on the tube minimal just to shape it. Incrementally add pressure every day - start with 40 psi, then 60 psi on the next day, and ride a block followed by full 75 psi. Keep riding for a bit to help the new tire settle. This will assist the tire in conforming to its proper shape and ensure better performance. Conclusion: The Pearhead Schwinn Replacement Bike Tire is a commendable option for those looking for a cost-effective, lightweight tire. The issues with getting into shape and the side wire's strength are points to consider, but they don't overshadow the benefits. As long as you follow the advice on gradual inflation, this tire can be a reliable addition to your bike. For the price, it's certainly worth a shot! ... show more

  • Good budget cruising tires.
Color: 26 x 2.12-Inch Style: Cruiser/Puncture Guard Pattern Name: Bike Tire
This review is for the Pearhead Schwinn Replacement Bike Tire (26x2.12). I put them on an older Giant Sedona MTB which is mainly used for 12-20 mile rides on harder surfaces. They were fairly easy to install (with new Bell tubes also from Amazon) and so far I have been impressed. They are a little wider than the standard 26x1.95 tires they replaced but they seem to ride better. They provide excellent traction on wet tarmac surfaces and they roll well. I haven't tried them yet on extended off road tracks but they seem to preform well on hard sand. They are currently on sale for $14.39 so they are great value. I will rate them for mileage and durability when I have owned them a little longer. These appear to be a good cruising tire for amateur recreational riders like me. ... show more

  • Surprisingly solid cruiser tires. Fit my Shift 3 stock rims and supports my 350 lb weight!
Color: 26 x 2.12-Inch Style: Cruiser/Puncture Guard Pattern Name: Bike Tire
In a nutshell: Solid feel and reasonable 'out of the box' balance. Fit a heavy-duty, oversized Trek Shift 3 hybrid bike on the stock double-wall rims without a problem, and were easy to install. The good: + Durable feel and thick 'cruiser and path' tread depth. + Easy to install on standard 26" mountain bike rims. + Fairly well balanced from the factory. + The rolling resistance was entirely acceptable for a cruiser or 'all-terrain' style tire. + Price: At the time of purchase these were very inexpensive tires compared to other brands. The bad: - Very 'heavy' tires. These are Kevlar Reinforced and designed to resist punctures. They feel the part. - Almost entirely a 'flat travel' tire, they tread does not 'surround' the carcass for leaning into turns. - Quite wide for a '26" x 2"' class rim, and may require finagling to get the brakes past the tire. ... show more

  • Packaging not a problem.
Color: 700c x 38mm Style: Cruiser/Standard Pattern Name: Bike Tire
These tires were purchased to replace the original Bontrager 700c-40’s that came with my Trek cross bike. It was surprisingly hard to find a satisfactory replacement online, so I was pleased to see that Amazon had a set that might work. They arrived quickly, but to my surprise were rolled up tightly into a cube. The tires had been flattened into belts with the beads on each edge. They looked like no tire I’d ever seen. I unwrapped them and let them sit for a few minutes. As the beads contracted, the tires took on the shape of big fat bar-bike tires. Good enough. I wrestled them onto my rims with little difficulty other than having to take extra care keeping the bead captured under the clincher long enough to complete the circle. I then aired the tires up slowly, looking out for bead failures, but there were none. The new tires and I have been out on the road three times so far. They are quiet and smooth, and puncture resistant so far. A good purchase! ... show more

  • Reasonably good tire considering the low cost
Color: 26 x 1.95-Inch Style: Hybrid/Puncture Guard Pattern Name: Bike Tire
I'm a bicycle fanatic with lots of experience with tires and bikes. This is a low cost economy tire so don't have your expectations too high, however for the price it's great. Fits, works, was reasonably well balanced and runs straight. If you are using it for a beach cruiser or fixing up an old junker this tire is plenty good enough to get your bike back on the road economically. Tread is good enough for casual street use, not to slick not too knobby. If you are a serious mountain biker on a high end bike suggest you look for something better, but for casual recreational use it's a good value. After buying one and finding it acceptable ordered a second. ... show more

  • Super easy to change this tire by yourself.
Color: 26 x 1.95-Inch Style: Hybrid/Puncture Guard Pattern Name: Bike Tire
I have never fixed anything about a bike before, but I got a flat tire and popped tube. Was on a SUPER tight budget and could not afford to have someone else fix it. I was not even sure this was the correct tire size when I ordered it. I was amazed how easy to install this was. I will never pay for anyone to replace a tire again. ... show more

  • They come branded as Innova Tire
Color: 26 x 1.95-Inch Style: Hybrid/Puncture Guard Pattern Name: Bike Tire
The box says its a schwinn tire but on the tire it says Innova. Installation was okay but there is no direction on the tire on which side to install. Just installed the tires today and rode the bike for a miles so can't say much about mileage or durability. Will update this post later with that info. ... show more

  • Great so far!
Color: 16 x 1.95-Inch Style: Mountain/Standard Pattern Name: Bike Tire
Seems to have a decent material and was simple to install. I would recommend as it was much cheaper to get this and patch the tube than buying a whole new bike, just for a flat tire.
