This portable garage was not difficult to assemble. Did take two people to actuate it to the ground and put the tarp on. Nicely made. The biggest comment is that it got damaged during a heavy wind and rain storm. A branch came through the top and bent two of the major poles and ripped the cover. No fault of the company or product. We ordered a new one to get the two broken tubes and then decided to contact customer service to see if we could replace the broken ones. Had several conversations with Jenna, who in turn sent out two of the tube free of charge. To deal with them is a pleasure and the service is impeccable. My thanks to Peak Top and Jenna for such a good experience.

Great carport! But, before securing to the ground, an unusually heavy wind gust hit for 10 mins and blew the carport 1/2 acre from where it stood. FIVE STAR CUSTOMER SUPPORT: I had installed the 4 bags of rocks to each corner but the wind gust was powerful. Two center poles bent and broke. Contacted the vendor and spoke with Ivy (customer rep) to purchase two poles. Ivy had two replacement poles shipped at no charge. Ivy was a breath of fresh air in customer service! Will be purchasing another soon.

I bought this canopy last July to protect my new 2022 Tucson from the horrific sun damaging heat we get here in the southern California summers. The canopy is VERY well made and super easy to assemble, I'm 65 years old and assembled it myself. It protected my car 100% from the sun. However, a few times a year we get severe winds, like on Monday of this week and it blew the canopy up into the air and it landed upside down on my garage and hillside. In all fairness, I didn't use the sandbags that came with the canopy. However, I don't think that would have made any difference due to the force of the winds we had. I really should have moved my car during the high winds. So that was my fault.

Was planning a video but ran out of time so.....maybe later. Hi. Jumping online to give an evaluation of the Peaktop10x 20 carport assembly and value. I had another portable carport that was about 50 % less in the initial cost which lasted around 5 years or so. The top was replaced twice and the metal connectors began to rust after a couple of years. A recent snowstorm caused catastrophic failure so I approached this purchase with considerable skepticism and concern. The first thing that I noticed was the light number of comments from those that purchased the system and the next.... the email address was 'generic' not company-specific so I was concerned. When the product arrived and I looked at the contents, the connecting pieces were somewhat scratched and a little scuffed. However, when I contacted the company by phone and email I was assured they would stand behind the product and provide the needed support to complete the project. I considered returning the unit but after a week or so decided to install. Was pleasantly impressed. The scuffed pieces and a couple of imperfections were addressed with a rust-proofing paint product. I was also informed that two processes are used in the galvanization process.... hot gal and cold galvanization. The cold is used because of the welding process and is a 'coating applied galvanization'. When I contacted a competitor to ask about their method I was given the same information. The similarity was that my 'customer service individual had the same name 'JOY'. Must be the same customer service clearance.LOL. The obvious is to take time to confirm the packing list and parts before beginning. I live on acreage so it was easier to separate the items. The one area that was a challenge was the corners to the roof and systematic assembly. Assemble on the ground the roof sections and the top. Elevate the sides beginning on one side and complete. The basic assembly could be accomplished in 1 to 1.5 hours with the tie downs and other tasks later, The rope and tie-downs are adequate depending on your location. I opted to find additional rope for tie-down at my local tool warehouse. 75 ft for around 4 bucks. I also opted for camouflage to disguise the tie-downs. A metal stake that is used for dogs was also used on the 4 corners, Because of my experience with the former manufacturer, I probably have over-done securing the shelter. The top initially installed with wrinkles and tightness which disappeared after a couple of days. We also added zip ties to the grommet bungies for peace of mind. Overall I consider this a well-designed and functional system that looks great when completed. Instructions are basically pics only.. A little weak Would give it a 5 rating other than the need to touch up what I felt were vulnerable areas from the 'cold galvanization process. The added bracing on either end and side is a welcome addition and one of the reasons I chose this model 2202w. The unit is tall and can accommodate a large vehicle. For the cost of $250 the unit should provide years of service

Easy assembly by one person, all holes aligned up, parts fit perfectly. Even had extra nut and bolt and 4 extra stretch ties. 4 sand bags (to fit on base of legs) also included. The 8 tiedown ropes also were included, cut to length and ends sealed from fraying. We live in CA coastal area (fog) sun is not intense, but tieing down ropes with rebar stakes due to our winds as included earth anchors would not be sufficient in our loose dune sand. Nothing missing in packages and construction went smoothly. Got my truck out of double car garage so wife's car can have all of the room.
