This freezer is great, I would highly recommend one. It's even bigger than we expected, and it's stuffed full of frozen tasty food frozen. Get one while you can, in case stuff gets even more expensive and harder to find. I will say that this BEAST does make a lot of noise when running normally, and some slightly clunky sounds when starting up. It's loud enough so you will not want to have inside your living space for residential use. My wife can hear it through the floor above the garage. I have my freezer inside my unheated/uncooled garage. This freezer actually holds 7F even during the warmest 90F outside temp days. I consider this to be pretty good. Be sure to clean it regularly(every month is preferred) to avoid having the refrigeration coils become clogged. While the temperature on the display is accurate, it also shows the instantaneous cooling temperature which can RISE rapidly (nearly 70F) when it is on a defrost cycle. This last twist surprised my son, who freaked out because "OMG! All the food is melting! Do something!!!". We just left it alone and it went back to normal business after the defrost cycle. If you buy from Iron Mountain, you even get a warranty for residential use. Otherwise, probably only for commercial use from other vendors. Be careful, almost all of the big commercial units are NOT warrantied by the factory or the sellers for use at home!! ... show more

I purchased the PeakCold 2 Door Commercial Stainless Steel Freezer (47 cu ft, 54" wide) expecting a reliable commercial-grade unit given the price point (~$3,000 after taxes). Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. It is a beautiful and sturdy piece of equipment and worked exceptionally well the first year. The unit did not last even 5 years. During that time, I had to have multiple service calls for different issues—three separate repairs just to keep it running. Despite those efforts and additional out-of-pocket costs for maintenance, the freezer ultimately failed due to a compressor issue well before what I would consider an acceptable lifespan for a commercial unit. For a freezer marketed as commercial-grade and priced at this level, I expected significantly better durability and reliability. In my experience, the total cost of ownership—including repairs and downtime—made this unit not worth the investment. I would not recommend this product for anyone needing long-term, dependable commercial refrigeration. ... show more

Freezer stopped working after 18 months. I have found it virtually impossible to find someone who will or knows how to repair the unit. Saba will not provide me with a parts manual, so trying to fix it on my own is pretty difficult. I would caution any residential customer from being tempted to buy this product. Being the mother of a family of 7 I decided I wanted a commercial freezer in my garage when our current bend over and reach in freezer broke. After doing much research I was going back and forth between this freezer and one other brand that was a little cheaper. I actually went to purchase the other freezer and when I realized that shipping was not included and that was going to cost me $500 I decided to go with this freezer even though it was costing me an additional $200 but it included shipping. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase the very next day customer service returned my call and answered all of my questions promptly and did not make me feel like I was bothering them. It arrived on the day it was expected. This shipping company was very helpful it helping us get it into the garage. It came VERY well packed, because I was nervous of it getting dinged and scratched in shipping. It only took a few hours to come up to temperature. I did purchase the extended warranty just in case I have any problems, but I would definitely purchase from Iron Mountain again! I choose Iron Mountain because they will warranty this commercial freezer which will be used in a residential home where as a lot of commercial freezer makers do void the warranty for residential use. I also choose them after I looked at all of the reviews and nothing seemed detrimental to the actual product purchased.
