I like Peak Design and their products as they are thoughtfully designed and well made, and their prices reflect that. I carry my Nikon Z50 with both the 16-50mm and 50-100mm lenses (with either attached they still all fit) with me just about everywhere I go, and the other pockets stash away memory cards, batteries, tools, etc. What's nice about my Z50 is that I can charge the battery in-camera with just a cord, so I don't need to carry a bulky charging brick the size of an UNO deck. I know some people complain about that if storing that brick in the front pocket as it would be a tight fit and protrude out, but I guess I don't have that problem. I keep my phone and AirPods in that front case. I like to use this bag mainly as a fanny pack but will occasionally sling it across my body. The strap does tuck away into the bag when used as a waist pack, but it's a bit cumbersome to tuck the straps away if you accidentally pull it out, which is really my ONLY complaint about this bag. But that's it, everything else is great! I don't use the advertised strap to mount my Capture Clip, where some users complain that they can't freely open the zipper when mounted there. When I'm wearing the sling I just put the camera away inside the zippered compartment when I'm not using it. I use the Capture Clip on my backpack straps to keep my camera handy but I don't use the Sling and backpack at the same time. This pack looks and feels like a proper, but bigger, fanny pack, and I like how discreet it looks as it doesn't scream "EXPENSIVE PHOTO GEAR INSIDE." I can wear it in front, back, side, or slung over my shoulder, but my wife makes fun of me when I do that, calling the Sling my purse. This bag goes everywhere with me, at least in the car, and can easily be packed in a larger backpack if needed. I tend to sling it around the headrest of my passenger seat for easy access whenever I go out. The strap tightens easily and is fairly sturdy. I would feel very confident carrying this crossbody or waist style in an untrustworthy area as it would be difficult to quickly cut the straps and someone trying to yank it off me would likely not be able to break any of the hardware securing the straps. I thought about buying the bigger versions for when I bring other lenses but decided that this was the perfect size for EDC after using it for a few months now. I haven't taken it on any trips or vacation yet, just some street and local photography, as well as some indoor middle school sporting events. It's expensive, but I think it's worth every penny paid. Keep in mind that my Z50 is mirrorless, and has a smaller profile than traditional DSLRs. Closing the zipper is an EXACT fit in multiple configurations (Body + 50-200, 16-50 in divider; Body + 16-50, 50-200 in divider), and even so, I have to be deliberate in how I place it, but that's okay because I like to have the camera gear snug to prevent any damage during activity. The bag is well padded and I am confident in its protection ability. I don't ever have to move the divider regardless of what lens is on the body, just tweak the flex fold divider petals and it's all set. Highly recommended.

Build quality on this bag is great. Zippers feel nice and secure and fabrics feel great. It is a bit tight though. I wish it had a BIT more space. It’s a perfect fit for my Panasonic LUMIX G100 camera and an additional prime lens. I was able to run my LUMIX G9 in here with just a lens, but it was tight. Once loaded with a camera though not much room is left. I can just squeeze in my wallet and phone. For a minimalist edc carry it’s great and light weight and perfect for a day trip or if you plan on just using it for camera protection. It does feel like it has adequate padding for a reasonable drop and reasonable compression forces. Worth checking out and does feel like it would last. Overall worth a purchase. There are cheaper alternatives, but if you have the cash it’s by no means a bad buy.

After reading all the reviews I still wasn't sure if it would work with my camera set up. So I decided to give it a try and it's absolutely perfect for what I need. For my travel setup, I usually have small 50mm or 35mm manual glass on the Lumix S5 and carry a Sigma 28-70mm zoom when I need AF. This is absolutely THE perfect fit. I could probably squeeze in another small (and slim) manual lenses, if I had to. I already have PD Clip and Clutch (hand strap) and everything just works well together. As other reviewers have noted, this is a very well thought out gear. Every little thing is built with purpose and nothing is left to be desired (just get the 6L or 10L if you need bigger size). When not carrying my camera, it can definitely double as a small sling bag for daily commute. The strap and its features are the most functional of any that I've seen. I haven't carried it around yet so can't comment on longterm comfort level. It can be worn over left or right shoulder and the strap can be changed so the adjustable clip is located wherever you find it most comfortable. I had to flip the strap for use over my right shoulder and everything is exactly where I want them to be. It's expensive for a sling bag and there are plenty of good bags that will serve your purpose for much less. I just like my camera gear to be clean, functional, and efficient. I will pay more to get the right combination of things I need and want, which makes this a bargain if you ask me. I can't say the same for anyone else so choose wisely.

First impression I had with the product is that it's a cross between the Peak Design Tech Pouch (without all the dividers/numerous pockets) and the 10L Sling (version 1) I own. And...it's very close to that. Let me explain. Internal capacity is very similar to Peak Design Tech Pouch plus maybe ~25% more storage. Can fit a Nintendo Switch, but you have to take out the divider which loses some of the organization function of the bag. Even with that, it's a very tight fit and require some effort to make it lay flat which stretches the bag and may damage your console. You can take out the joycons, and use the divider, but the Switch screen/console must be positioned at a slant. Sorry about the Nintendo Switch comparison, more of a gamer and plan use use this as a everyday carry than a camera enthusiast (I only own two camera for when hiking, plus i got them as gifts) Has a thin strap to carry cross body like the 10L sling, but not an issue like with the 10L sling unless you carry dumbbells in the bag for some reason. Thin strap makes it easy to swing around the body. Have nice axial swing attachments, conforms to your body movement well and doesn't feel stiff on your back. Top handle great for easy grab-and-go; especially when the bag is beside you. Primary zip pocket has 2 zippers instead of one (compared to other 2 products i mentioned). No need to grab at either end of the bag to open. Has side capture clip attachment. If you use the peak design capture clip (I have version 3) it blocks some zipper access. If you want to zip it all the way down and not have potential metal-on-metal contact, you must make a conscious effort to move it out of the way slightly. Bag itself has a defined shape. Not really collapsible. If you have it in the fanny pack position; will stick out a lot. The fixed shape makes it easy to visually see and grab items in a pinch, instead of squeezing your fingers/hand in and rummaging around. Downside is, if you need to squeeze through tight narrow gaps, must take off the bag and carry it over your head or on your side. The flex fold give some compartmentalization to the main pocket. Aside from that, there's quick stash front pocket, side and top stretch pockets. Front quick stash pocket is for misc items you have. I personally put the cord hooks (more on this later) in there. Can slip a phone in, but need to tug at the bag a little. Side stretch pockets sags a bit, and not a perfect square or rectangle. It's functional, but looks a bit off if you really focus on it. Internal stretch pockets. Main internal stretch pocket is a good place to put pens, USB sticks and batteries. Cannot fit a standard 5.5 to 6inch smart phone in there. Maybe a 5.5 inch but must leave it unzipped. All 3 mini stretch pockets have black colored labels. Disappointing seeing the 10L had black and red to distinguish between used and new batteries/memory sticks. Flex fold divider. You get one flex fold divider with the 3L. Able to use it as a divider, shelf or passthrough. Cord hook system is very good. Is not integrated into the bag; instead separate items: two straps (included). Only use when needed. No need for it to dangle around when not in use. I personally store it in the quick stash front pocket. You can also use the hooks and zipper handles and join them together as theft deterrent. Fanny pack position didn't work well for me. Tried messing with it several times, and it always comes loose when out-and-about. You are suppose to tuck in the shoulder pad into the rear sleeve, but there's no way to secure it in place. If you or someone tugs on it, or the pad slip out when walking/running; it can be a potential trip hazard. Unless you have a really large waist, have to cinch down both sides all the way to get a good fanny pack orientation. As a cross body, it works well. Slide across very easily, seeing the non-collapsible design; you can grab items you need very quickly. If you care about your appearance, may look a bit odd though; especially if you have a large back. As a reference: put a 12inch ruler on your back to get a length estimate. Overall, has some flaws, but very useful when needed. More functional than other sling bags especially with the defined shape and easy slide cross body design.May use this more than my 10L as it's more compact since i don't carry around a lot of items most of the time. If I do plan to carry more, more likely carry a backpack instead. Price tag is very high, but may be worth it if plan to you use it long term

Peak Design is known for their impeccably styled product line. This fits perfectly into their lineup of camera bags. It is stylish and well padded to protect your camera while on the go. The strap can be adjusted to be used as a waist pack or as a shoulder sling. It sports a padded area of the strap to prevent it from rubbing against your neck. There is a convenient carry handle on top as well. Included are two straps that attach to the bottom to carry a tripod with you. I noticed that my tripod had a little extra give than I would prefer when attached, but I am assuming if you had the Peak Design tripod this wouldn't be an issue. The fabric appears to be at least water resistant, with thick zippers for the two compartments. Inside there is one divider that is origami style in that it can be folded to meet your individual needs. I found I could fit my mirrorless body with one medium length lens attached plus two extra batteries in the main compartment, or if I detached the lens I could fit one medium length and one short prime lens in with the body by folding the divider differently. If you have a cage attached to your camera body, things will be considerably tighter. I would recommend removing the divider completely and sticking to one lens for a secure fit that isn't crammed in. As with all Peak Design products, this is a pricey bag. Depending on your needs though this may be worth the extra money, as it is made extremely well and offers some unique features not commonly found in 3L bags.

Perfect size for daily carry - fits my camera, phone, and a few essentials without feeling bulky. The build quality is excellent, and the quick-adjust strap is one of those features you don’t realize you’ll love until you use it. If you travel light but want something premium and durable, this sling nails it.

My old DSLR setup had gotten fairly big and eventually became a hindrance to taking my camera everywhere with me. After months of research, I decided to go with the Sony A7iii and decided to keep this as part of a travel friendly, minimalist kit. I ordered 4 camera bags including the Peak Design 3L sling. From spec sheets alone, it was difficult to determine which bag would fit. I originally wanted something with a holster design that could hold and extra lens. While some of them could, there was no divider to keep things separated, and no review could answer my questions as to what configuration of bodies and lenses would work. My current setup: Sony A7iii with Sony 35mm f1.8 on body, 85mm f1.8 as extra lens fit perfectly in this bag. The divider was used to create space for the 85mm. With the lens in place, the shelf on the divider cannot be folded down BUT I can stack both lens hoods under the shelf and place the 85mm on top of it. It's a great fit for when I don't want to keep the lens hoods on. The side pockets are currently being used for the charger and USB cable. SD cards fit easily into the inner compartment. The outer compartment holds the extra hooks/straps, sensor cover. The bag is pricey but build quality is top notch and there are numerous configuration options based on how you want to carry your gear. If you want a flexible, highly portable and extremely functional but minimal camera bag this is worth considering.

I've had this bag for a few years and it's gone many places, both here and abroad. This is the bag I use when I want to carry light. Peak Design Everyday Sling 3L looks good and and strap carries comfortably while making adjustments to length and body carry a breeze. I really like velcro-adjustible separating panel system. It keeps things organized and allows for size & placement adjustments. If needed, I use the bottom with provided straps for carrying a compact umbrella. The front pocket is a bit tight and hard to reach though, so it's more for flat small things, not in constant use , like cords. The zipper quality is very good and interior pocket fits maybe a pen / sharpie, battery, memory card, chapstick, gum, ear buds, etc. etc. . The interior "ear pockets" I call them are also good storage spaces. I've only worn it as a sling and have not tried the fanny pack style but I could see it working if kept light. I use it for my smaller film cameras like (Nikon FE, Pentax MX, Nikon F100, Point and shoot). A pancake 28mm and 50mm, sunglasses, and maybe some little extras. I've tried my Nikon D700 and the beast was just too much for the bag, in my opinion, so opted for the 6L. Minimalism is key here on this bag. Embrace it and it will make you happy.
