This is a very basic video game - geared really only to much younger kids who watch the Paw Patrol cartoon. The graphics are good. The functions and story lines aren't really impressive. Perfect starter game to PlayStation. He sees my husband playing games and wants to do it but didn’t understand the buttons. There is no real way it seems that you can die in this game and you go along collecting pup treats and then if there is a hold that you need to cross it makes you stop and all of your tools appear on the screen one being the o button, square button, and triangle to pick from. This is a great little video game for kids that are learning how to play on a console. I’d say this is perfect for 3 to 4 year olds, maybe 5 year olds. The graphics are excellent and look like you are watching the cartoon. Rider talks a lot but it’s meant to coach the child through the course in case they get stuck. There is a small challenge to it that is age appropriate. The game play is repetitive but they do give just enough variation in graphics, locations, challenges, and puzzles. This game is Awesome for the first time kid to learn how to play with a controller. It teaches them the basic hand=eye coordination and the use of the left stick and the x , square, y and o buttons. My 3 yr old knew nothing about video games or controllers and always wanted to play with mine when I was playing a "more adult oriented game." Game is simple enough my 3yo can play entirely on his own, but just enough challenge and fun for my 6yo to enjoy. Features their favorite pups, and has clearly defined goals for each level, and verbal instructions. I would love to have seen a 2-player option for this so they can play together instead of fighting over who's turn it is. ... show more
