This is the first melting balm I have used that truly only takes a dime size amount to get all of my makeup off. It has no scent which is fine with me. Every time I use this product I let it set for the 60 seconds the company recommends for a deeper clean and it hasn’t dried my skin out at all. I am glad to replace my old cleanser (foaming gentle cleanser from Neutrogena) with this. This is much better for keeping my skin moisturized and silky feeling after washing (it does not dry out my skin like a foam cleanser). Love it.

Glides on to skin and feels luxurious. I look forward to washing my makeup off instead of seeing it as a chore now. When I use my toner, there’s not trace of makeup on my cotton pad. Even effective on tough eye makeup. My skin feels soft and hydrated after.

This is by far one of my favorite cleansing balms. It has no pore clogging ingredients, no scent, and is amazing at removing any makeup and sunscreen that i wear. Absolutely love for my dry and sensitive skin.

    • Not for waterproof mascara
If you wear heavy makeup, this probably isn't for you. I think Albolene works better at removing everything than this does. But if you wear lighter makeup or don't wear waterproof mascara, then this is awesome stuff!

I have not used a Paula’s Choice product previously - so this is not a brand review - it’s only a product review. I wanted to try this product out and purchased it on Prime Day because honestly it would have been less expensive if I didn’t like it. I should state that I have extremely dry skin so I am reporting how that worked for me. I have previously tried other cleansing balms and micellar waters and been disappointed because I never felt as though they took off the make up. I put a little more than a pea size amount on my finger and began massaging my face and I could see that my makeup was coming off. I use a primer with my waterproof mascara and it melted the products I use off my face. It’s also important to note that I use sunscreen on my face and wear full coverage make up. A little goes a long way with this product. You don’t need a lot. I felt that my skin was prepped for cleaning my face with my face wash after. Using this product as a step one, along with my other product, really cleansed my face. As far as residue left on ny face from the balm, I didn’t notice anything because I thoroughly patted ny face dry and then washed it with another product (First Aide Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser). Between the two, ny face was clean, glowing, and hydrated. I recommend this Paula’s Choice product. I feel like for the cost and the results, this is a great product that you can use everyday and will only need to replenish one other time in a year. Hope this review helps! Nice product! Clean ingredients and simple to use. Cleans up heavy makeup and eye makeup with ease. Your face feels wonderful after working with this product and no clogging up the pores. Overall it’s a win win in my opinion.
