This vinyl white picket fence panel kit is really cool, and at the end of the day, much better than wood because the vinyl will hold up to the elements better. Set up was pretty easy. Since we only got the one length of 84inches to sample, I didn't opt to permanently install it, and used landscape staples to secure the fence to the ground, which worked extraordinarily well. It's been standing in place for days, and it was quite windy for a couple of those days. The product looks great. We would definitely consider buying more of these, and would especially be interested if there are gates to go along with it. I would definitely suggest. ... show more

3-7-24 From unboxing, familiarizing, assembly and disposal took me roughly 1 hour. I used a cordless drill, heads up the self tapping screws, they need a bit of effort to get started but be sure you back out of the throttle otherwise you'll easily strip the vinyl. The illustrated instructions were easy to follow but I figured out an easier way to get the pickets in. If you place the two end pickets and center, then add the top rail, measure, level it up and secure those with screws it makes it much easier to get the rest of the pickets in and you won't have as much resistance with the top rail as the instructions show. The clearances are tight so it will take a bit of patience to get all the pickets in place, i found a rubber mallet helpful. I cut both panels and am utualizing them as double gates. They can easily be cut to fit using a hacksaw. I had to get a bit creative, securing them to my wooden posts, also had to order more hinges and some basic gravity gate latches. It worked out well and matches my other fencing near my patio. All the components are hollow vinyl, the walls are roughly an 1/8" thick. It's not so thin that when you squeeze, it doesn't collapse. The 2 smaller panels can be connected using either the included hinges or straight connectors. This gives you a few more options on how it can be used. It's fairly sturdy if anchored in concrete, but it's definitely not fencing that you'd want adults, kids or pets climbing on or over. Another thing is you might want to invest in some more self-tapping screws to secure every picket to at least the bottom rail, otherwise if somebody pulls up on one it slides right out and now you have an open spot in your fence. Also the dog ear finishing caps are wedged into the pickets and again if someone messes with them, they are easily removed. I have taller panels exactly like this and found the wind will knock lean them over when placed in soil, and they bow where the panels sre attached using the connectors. I highly recommend placing the posts at every connector junction to protect it from bowing, I also ended up using long rebar stakes on both sides of the fence to prevent the wind from pushing it over. This of course likely only needs to be considered when placed in soil. The listing says it should last for years. I live in the Phoenix Arizona area and the sun yellows and dry rots anything plastic, so time will tell how that goes. But for now it's only being used on a covered patio so I expect I will get years out of it. Overall I'm pleased with it for my use and don't think you'll be disappointed if you know what you're getting into as far as assembly and durability goes. This vinyl white 36" tall picket fence panel looks decoratively attractive when assembled and has a nice large anchoring spike for in ground which keeps this fence in place even during the really strong winds we get here. The fence comes with the hardware for concrete anchoring as well. I can see having 1 or 2 panels as decorative highlighting or in an area to keep pets and animals out of, which is what I'm using it for. ... show more
