Plug and play these work great with the transmitter plugged into pickup trucks towing socket roughly 35’ distance from lights. I mounted these on the bottom of my rv bumper and attached the cables supplied with the lights It was a good thing I did because one light slid off due to a very rough stretch of road during travel. The other light was ready to come off. I saw the light dangling in my rear view mirror, no damage because I made sure cable was short enough not to let the light hit the ground. I’ve since mounted the round metal plates supplied with the kit to the bottom of the bumper, they seem to have a much stronger bond with the light’s magnetic base. I will add to review after more traveling. The base on the lights are slightly larger than the bumper so I believe this could have contributed to falling off. 5/30/2026 follow up lights stayed in place on the 1600 mile trip back home after installation of the round metal plates that came with the kit. ... show more

These lights are super bright & easy to mount just attach to any steel/iron surface, or the included steel mounting plates, attach the included safety wire, or better, do what I did, I used bungee cords to secure the lights to their mount, stretching the bungee around the light bases. Plug in the transmitter, start the engine and BOOYAH, your in business, the hold a charge for hours, I used them on a four hour trip and they worked great, and were still very bright when I packed them away afterwards. Just charge them before each use to ensure battery life while traveling. ... show more

Easy to install, easy to connect to the truck BUT on the first drive down the state highway , the wind resistance caused both lights to fall off of the flat wheel fender they were positioned on on both sides. I had tested the magnet strength before driving on the highway by driving around the cow pasture the day before. I was only able to find one light on the highway when I noticed them missing. I was asked if I wanted a refunded, all I asked for was one to replace the one we could not find. The seller has not responded. ... show more

Pair this light kit with the MECMO 7-Pin Trailer Y Splitter Plug and it's lights on! I bought these lights to add to the rear of our camper because the bicycles hide the original lights. We mounted the included metal plates up high on the rear of our camper and now everyone behind us can see our brake and turn lights. The batteris last long enough to get from one place to the other and the lights have a simple on/off switch that is easy to reach and operate. Each light has molded into it RIGHT LIGHT or LEFT LIGHT, no guessing. It comes with a charging cable that is split so you can charge both lights at the same time. We love thes lights! We feel much safer having the brake lights up high on the camper so more than just the vehicle directly behind can see them. And using the MECMO 7-Pin Trailer Y Splitter Plug these lights work in time with all the other lights on the truck and trailer. Our trailer is 27' long and there is no issue with the reception of the signal. ... show more

Bought this set of trailer lights for our flat-towed car behind our motorhome. Got it, charged it up, went to set it up, and the right side light was non-functional. Tried plugging it into another vehicle with the same results, so knew it was not our vehicle wiring or 7-pin plug. Initiated a return with Amazon, immediately was offered a return/replace, chose replace. Returned the original unit the next day and the following day received our replacement unit. Happy to report it worked right out of the box. Partsam customer service contacted me and asked me to fill them in on what the issue was, as it sounds like it is a new product for them, so I gave them the information they asked for. As for the product, the lights are very bright (don't want our Honda getting plowed into when we're stopping!), they operate wirelessly, so no wiring to do. The set-up is simple. 1. Unpack 2. Charge (although they came 3/4 charged) 3. Plug transmitter into 7-pin trailer plug 4. Turn on 5. check to make sure they work and head out on the road! The quality seems good. I like the rechargeable aspect - have experience with wireless light systems with replaceable batteries - at 8 hours a pop, sets of 4 AA batteries can get expensive. These can be recharged from my power brick many times - haven't tried just leaving them plugged in yet, but that would alleviate worrying about batteries for a week at a time.
