I wanted to like it more. Maybe I need to spend more money on a better pen, but it seems it should be better based on the price. The feel of the pen in the hand just doesn't feel as solid as I would have thought. The pen also doesn't write smoothly all the time, for a brand new pen I've had it not put down any ink a number of times, and I had to find scratch paper to scribble on to get the ink flow moving again. Update: I saw my review and how I mentioned issues with the ink. It seems it may have been a defective ink cartridge. Once it ran out, I ordered a set of replacements, which were of a finer type as well, and they work just fine. So I'm moving it up one star as it was probably a fluke on the bad ink to start with. This pen is relatively inexpensive and looks very expensive. Even in the digital world, you need a pen that you enjoy because the ink flows well and you like the balance and the appearance.

The appearance, weight and balance are great. I've had a similar Parker, but without the textured surface on the cap and barrel. The cap would always fall off when writing. There is no problem with this pen. Only 4 stars because the fine point is a bit scratchy, but seems to be getting smoother the more I use it. I ordered medium point replacement cartidges instead of fine point, which I hope will make an improvement. ... show more

Good looking. Writing dominated by roller-ball cartridge, which has acceptable feel. Pen has no real inner components, and is really just a shell for the roller-ball cartridge. Pen barrel and cap are anodized aluminum -- with metal appointments. Looks good, but is much lighter than expected.
