I cannot say enough good things about this weed puller! As someone who struggles with shoulder and back issues, yard work can be incredibly painful. This tool has made weeding so much easier and far less physically demanding. The long handle means I can stay standing upright without constantly bending over, which saves my back from a lot of unnecessary strain. I got this because we had weeds popping up everywhere and I wanted something that did not require bending over, crawling around, or pulling them by hand. I honestly did not expect to be this excited about a weed puller, but I am actually obsessed with it. The construction feels sturdy and solid, not flimsy like some garden tools can be. The size is also nice because it is tall enough to use while standing, which makes a huge difference if you are trying to do more than just a couple weeds. It fits well in your hands, and the foot pedal helps you press it into the ground without making it feel awkward. It was easy to use right away and did not require a complicated installation or setup. You basically push it down around the weed, twist, and pull. It works best when the ground is a little soft, like after rain or watering. In harder, dry ground, it takes more effort, but that is expected. Overall, this is one of those tools that actually makes yard work less miserable. It pulls weeds out much better than I can by hand, saves my back, and makes the whole process oddly satisfying. Definitely a good buy if you want something simple, sturdy, and effective.

The tool works well. It’s easy to use, heavy duty metal and better than sitting or kneeling on the ground. But sometimes you do have reach down or use your foot to remove the pulled weed and mulch sticks in it. But it does work, even when the root breaks off, it seems to go deep enough the weed doesn’t come back. I mainly wanted a non poisonous way to remove dandelions without harming my dog. It’s made well and seems it will last forever. My husband would have given it a five star I’m sure.

I'm volunteering with a bunch of my neighbors in a pocket park in a city – the space is covered in weeds and the soil is gross after years of...well, we don't want to know, really, and baked to cement hardness. This thing has been incredibly handy. Totally indispensable, in fact. I got the one that has the ejector, and it's worked really well for me. It's strong and sturdy, not too heavy. It makes weeding quick and clean, and means I'm not bending over constantly. Weeds come up with minimal effort - even the really established ones. See the picture of the weed pile I'm attaching, although if doesn't really convey the share number of weeds, I just got rid of and maybe 15/20 minutes..In the kind of summer heat I'm gardening in right now, the time saved is even more appreciated! This plus a Garden Weasel have been the perfect pair.

Probably one of the best purchases I have ever made on Amazon. Works wonderfully, makes pulling up dandelions EASY. I would recommend also getting a barrow of sorts to put the weeds in because you will be working so quickly, you will need a wheelbarrow to put all your weeds in and have it with you throughout your yard. I am happy I bought this particular one because removing the week from the spikes is easy. With all the rain, it has rusted a little already (had for like 2 months). But with all the rain we've had and the grass and dirt being moist, it's understandable. I have carpal tunnel and it does bother me a little, but it would probably be worse if I was pulling these by hand and small shovel.

This tool is saving my joints! Weeding used to mean hauling 2 hand tools, a short pitchfork, a bucket, and a kneeling pad, moving slowly thru the yard on my hands and knees resulting in stiff, sore, overworked joints and back. Now I have this tool! Once you get a feel for it (took me 10 or 15 mins of attempts on various weeds,) the tool has a high efficacy rate. I have the same or better rate of getting the whole root using this vs. hand weeding. The tool is easy to use, I just line up the center of the weed, stomp the teeth into place, and pull back in the direction of the lever. (I found it better to be on the same side as the lever and to pull rather than allow the lever to face a different direction and have to push.) I'm 5'10", so I wind up bending over once in a while to line up my shot or clear the teeth, but it's nothing compared to the stooping, squatting, and yanking I once did. Having to clear the teeth after each pull doesn't bother me. I read reviews for self-ejecting versions of this tool and they helped me solidify my theory that the simplest design will always be superior. I am enjoying my success using this tool in mostly clay soils. I imagine sandy soils will also be easy to use the tool in, but use in/with rocks has been hit or miss. I made sure to use it after a decent rain, when the ground was still soft. This tool probably won't be used in summer when my clay soils bake to the consistency of concrete. I have also been targeting dandelions, false dandelions, ragweed, etc. I tried the tool on a small blackberry cluster, but it didn't work out. The crazy corkscrew roots are too much for this tool. Stick to the carrot-like roots of dandelion types or the dense cluster roots of ragweed types. I cannot speak to the durability of the tool because I've only used it once so far, but I believe the design to be simple enough that it will last me a long time if I keep it relatively clean and out of the elements. I plan to buy more of these for my husband, bff, and maybe even my neighbor! $25 to get a laborious task done virtually pain free is such a bargain!

This weed puller works well. I chose it among the others because it had the ejection feature, and because it appeared to have a single, long handle, while many others appeared to have several sections making up the handle. Unfortunately the handle is is several pieces, and screws together. The hardware holding it together and the design includes both metal screws internally, and a metal sleeve on the outside, so it's surprisingly strong, however it does unscrew very easily and I find while I'm working with it that I have to tighten the handle frequently. I'm really disappointed in this so want to highlight it for others - this is not a single piece handle, despite the photos. Further, it doesn't use any standard handle threading so if you do want to replace it you'll be making a custom piece. Beyond that, it works well. The foot piece allows you to push the head into the ground around the base of the plant, then acts as a lever and applies pressure to the root as you pull it out. The ejector works well to clear between the pairs of prongs, but doesn't clear the prongs on each side - but it clear it well enough to use on the next weed. Most of my use is centered around prickly plants, and this does a good job of getting the root out at least 4 inches below ground, which seems to be enough to prevent regrowth for the smaller plants. It's easily used on flat ground, and in low grown cover areas, but become harder with taller areas like an irs patch. Better than pulling by hand, though, so still useful. The metal parts are strong, and while I can't tell if they're forged or cast, it's obvious they aren't machined. I expect them to last a long time. The ejector on the handle is plastic, and I'm not sure it's going to last as long as the rest of the puller - and there doesn't seem to be any replacement parts available. I suppose at this low price they will simply advise replacing the entire tool. Altogether I'm happy with this, with the only major issue being the multi-part handle. I'll epoxy the connections to see if that resolves my issues with it unscrewing itself during use and makes it more like a single piece handle. Beyond that, it's a great tool.
