I needed to expand my stand to accommodate my new Eversolo DMP-A6 streamer. This was exactly what I needed. The only thing that I hate though is you have to take all your gear off and disassemble the entire stand to add this shelf to the top of your existing stand. It would be nice if they put screw at the top hidden under the rubber caps so you could just add a shelf on top without taking it all apart. Other than that it worked out well!

I definitely don't regret purchasing this extra shelf to store additional accessories for my turntable setup but $60 seems a bit pricey for one shelf and four posts. If you break down the components of the TT base unit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B5KJFQM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o03_s00 - The bottom half contains 13" posts (almost double the length of the ones included with this add-on), the x-brackets, a shelf with added lip, the short 'foot' posts under the bottom shelf, end caps, and floor spikes (plus saucers for use on hard floors). - The top half contains two shelves, one of which is thicker than the others (and this add-on shelf), and four 7" posts (same as the ones included in this add-on). So if you figure that the bottom half, containing more materials and parts, accounts for at least $80 of the $140 cost (I got carbon fiber and it looks awesome) and the top portion accounts for the remaining $60 - you're paying the same for this as for the top half of the TT base but only getting one shelf (the thinner of the two). I think $40-$50 would have been a much fairer price for this add-on. Having said that, and although I gave it four stars on account of the price, I have zero regrets and I also plan on purchasing the additional vinyl record storage shelf once the size of my collection warrants it (even though that costs $80 on its own and, much like the breakdown above shows, contains less for the same price as the bottom half of the TT base unit). Come to think of it - if you plan on purchasing an extra tier in the middle and an extra LP shelf, you might as well buy two of the TT turntable stand for a total of $280 and you would be paying the same as if you bought this then the two add-ons, plus you'd end up with an extra shelf to use for something else (or to replace one of these if they should get damaged). Hell, you'd also have an extra set of feet, end caps, spikes, saucers and top shelf bolts as well that you could use to build a separate floor stand for a sub-woofer (if you have sensitive neighbors). Those things can cost $40-$100 on their own! Damn, I should have thought of that before hand...oh well, still no regrets! I love the look and functionality of this stand and would recommend it over pretty much any other similar product! Knock the price down $10-$20 and this is a 5-star product all the way! Oh, one last thing I mentioned in my review of the TT base stand...the vinyl wrap goes to the edge of the bottom of the shelf and can be sharp. Be careful when moving the unit around or handling each shelf - I sliced my thumb on one when turning the stand over after assembly! Nothing a band-aid and some Neosporin couldn't fix, but still...you won't see this warning anywhere else so here it is!

It’s really odd that the Pangea folks don’t offer replacement parts like screws and all lengths of legs. I had to buy this add-on shelf simply to get 4 7” legs. I have two complete Pangea units with add-on album storage. They’re great. I get lots of compliments. But when I wanted to lower one of the shelves, I was forced to buy this entire unit simply for the legs. You can buy the 10” legs but not the 7” ones. That just blows my mind.

I purchased the rack and a extra oshelf to put my turntable on the top shelf. It has NO stability what so ever. Will be putting my turntable back on a wall mount. Spend your money on something a bit more reliable

Product is very good makes the stand complete, the packaging is also very good however the unit I received from Pangea Audio had a scratch right across the rack it is difficult to repack and than send it back I have ordered a replacement unit
