Description
This model only has one water inlet that can connected to standard faucet using the inlet hose and quick adapter in the package. The machine will automatically fill water and stop filling water, so the machine must be connected to faucet using the inlet hose and quick adpter. Manually adding water into the machine is not allowed, otherwise, the machine will not work properly. The quick adapter has both internal thread (diameter ≈ 13/16") and external thread (diameter ≈ 7/8") that can fit for standart faucets in US. Remove the aerator of the faucet, screw the quick adapter on, and connect the inlet hose to the quick adapter. Adjust the water temperature on the faucet. Please keep the faucet on during the whole cycle. My 5-year-old, huge front-load washer died. It was a money pit, costing me a small fortune to get it repaired. (I hate to throw things out.) When I found out that a part would be $350, not counting installation, I decided to call it quits. I priced washers locally, and on sale they were $600 or more, not to mention the $200-$300 for the warranty. I decided that I didn't want to be spending $800 every 5 years or so. I also wasn't that thrilled with my front-load washer- it was a pain to use, took forever to wash, and smelled no matter what I did. I looked on Amazon, and saw this little washer. I thought and thought about it, and decided that about $250 was a good amount to spend on a washer. If it didn't last but 2 years, I still come out ahead. After much debate, I ordered. Set up was a breeze. (A plastic grill has a chip out of it, but that in no way affected the machine.) The manual is a hoot- the wording is hilarious, the photo of the late 1800's baseball player moving the washer is a thing of beauty, and the instructions are minimal, to say the least. (There is NO explanation for what each wash setting is, and I still don't know what "air dry" is.) There is a part at the top of the washer on the left hand side that is rather tear-drop shaped with a drain hole in it- no idea what it is or what it does. ( Maybe someone that has the machine can share....) Washed 5 loads the first day I had it. (I had lots of laundry to take care of.) Other than having to decrease the amount I put in the tub, the machine is one hundred times better than my previous $900 washer by far. The clothes come out clean, it is super-duper quiet, and when it says that there is one minute left in the spin cycle, the machine means ONE minute! (My old machine's "one minute" could take up to 25 minutes- a real hassle when you had to go down a flight of steps to continually check on it.) I don't know how long this machine will last- I hope at least a couple of years. I do know that it is easy to use, quiet, and does a great job cleaning. I hang my clothes to dry them, and although this doesn't spin them out as dry as my old front-loader, they seem to dry more quickly. My entire family thinks it is cute. My oldest son even took a photo of it to share with his friends. My husband told his sister that his wife, "...bought the cutest little washing machine I've ever seen, and it does a great job!" Cure or not, it does a fantastic job of cleaning clothes with the least amount of water and noise I've ever had in a machine.

This is my 3rd portable washing machine (in 5 months -- Gah!) and also my 1st fully-automatic option. I feel confident to advise that if you have the means to spend a little more on a washing machine, a fully-automatic machine is the way to go. Please, treat yourself! That said, the past 5 months have proven to be the most tumultuous stint I've endured, laundry-wise. Fortunately, the arrival of Panda's Fully-Automatic Portable Washing Machine signified the glorious death to that era. This machine has wheels -- two of 'em. They're located at the back, so it's completely portable if you have the strength and agility to maneuver it to a faucet or to the cold water outlet for a full-size washing machine hook-up. If you'd rather not risk it, the machine accommodates many of the square-shaped dollys. Another premium feature for this model are the higher-quality inlet and drain pump hoses included. The hoses that came with the two machines I'd purchased prior were flimsy and seemed better suited for beer bongs or some other purpose that doesn't involve supplying water to a machine powered by electricity. The washing basket is wider than it is deep, and right away I noticed my clothes weren't getting as twisted and tied together in this set up than the deep and narrow tub found in my previous machines. Hooray! My sweaters would no longer have a normal sleeve for my arm and the other sleeve "modified" and adapted for my leg! More than anything else, the Panda model does a more thorough job cleaning my clothes. I dare say it cleans better than a mid-to-high range standard size washing machine, and it achieves this QUIETLY. I'm on the 2nd floor in my building and I like my downstairs neighbor; its nice to know that doing my laundry doesn't disrupt her as much as it does when I accidentally knock loose all of the hangers from the drying rack onto the hardwood floor at 2:30 am on a Tuesday. All in all, this Panda Fully-Automatic Portable Washing Machine is exactly what I needed and is exactly what I wanted. The only thing that I would change is superficial, and that's the color of the lid. UPDATE - November 2022: I am absolutely thrilled to report that my machine continues to knock my laundry out as well as it did when I first purchased this guy. To echo the sentiments of another reviewer, I recommend that you DO NOT lag on laundry day as I did -- ONCE -- much to my peril. Because you must not overfill the machine, "normal-sized" laundromat loads are a thing of the past with this machine, so contingent on how often you do your laundry, as well as how large your items are & how thick the material, don't be surprised to find your loads are now cut to as little as 1/3 of what a normal machine can handle. Prepare yourself to be laughed at when using a normal-sized machine; when visiting friends from afar, I was absolutely amazed at how much of my laundry I could fit into their 5G/wifi/bluetooth/Spotify-enabled/part air-fryer & coffeemaker* monstrous front-loading machine! I just kept feeding it and feeding it and feeding it... it was like Mary Poppin's bag, I kid not! Alas, this is not a review for that washing machine/pet groomer/ tax preparer -- this review is to provide an honest update, in spite of my jest. In closing, I am as in love with this machine as I was when it finished washing my first load of clothes. I *still* highly recommend this machine! *Okay, honestly, all it could do was connect to the wifi.

Update August 2023: Still very pleased with this washer. We are so impressed with its functionality & usefulness. Just washed a heavy stretch futon cover and came out gorgeous. Update Sept. 2022: After 1 year plus & move to a new house the washer is fantastic. Gets everything clean, spins great & features are great for flexibility (extra rinse, delay, etc..) Best purchase I've made in recent years! First review upon setup-will update as needed! The machine arrived in perfect condition - grateful after reading about dings, dents, etc.. set up was super easy. It took me a few minutes to get quick connect onto our bar sink faucet but after removing buildup on the faucet, it went on fine. Blew out hose as directed and hooked up to sink. Definitely need to follow up with wrench after hand tightening. I tied the drain hose and water supply hose to the faucet to avoid slippage. Ran a test load with just a few articles - they were super dirty and we are so impressed how clean they got with a small quick wash. The machine is quiet throughout the cycle. We bought a metal pan ( rabbit hutch pan, $22) and an appliance dolly (Amazon, $21) since we need to move it just outside of the kitchen area when not in use. It is super easy to move with and without the dolly. We are still recovering from February freeze, burst pipes and rodent problem. This machine will make our lives a bit more manageable. I can't remember ever being this excited about laundry.

How I love thee, lemme count the ways... This fully automatic washing machine has a 1.7 cf capacity but only 1.6 cf of it should only be used if you're going to use a full load of laundry. It's a matter of Fluid Dynamics as it is the maximum capacity for a small washing machine to wash clothes for great efficiency. It works well and this view is obvious to me and very convincing. Well, there are others but for a home it works almost perfectly. So, in other words, there's no pressing down on the clothes as the soapy water covers all or nearly equally when the clothes are fully submerged that doesn't take time. Great! I find the panel on the machine, neat and handsome, the LED color blue, unusual but not alien. The nice cutsey tweeks as it sounds when selecting various features say, cold, warm, and hot for the water temperature, I found seamless and highly intuitive. I use warm water and not hot at all as the wash water is a soaking and wash medium but shouldn't take a further part in washing clothes. The use of hot water to me would break the machine and damage clothes. Ideally, the water should be luke warm or barely warm to warm in temperature. I allow the selection of laundry detergent for HE washing machines with no excess sudsy water. If I do, the machine will break. If I use detergent for very sudsy water, I mean, the machine will break! The washing machine is of high quality considering the price paid. The washing machine under normal use for a series of test runs would break after 50 washings in succession for Mechanical Entropy. This is impressive! The little tweeks and sudden switches I heard made me at first have a cheap sense of flimsiness and the feel of the top cover and the run, flimsey in comparison to the last machine I have, a Haier. I first hated this latest version of the washing machine from Panda. I did not know at this point that these initial superficial views and feel only meant the washing machine is absolutely brand new. The drain pump sounds a little distressing and a little loud, but works well and works thoroughly almost like the last machine I have and will always have for personal reasons. The hose attachment for the intake of water from the faucet and the drain tube are a snap and fit well, all instantly and seamlessly without putting weights on the drain hose to prevent it from going all over the place. The faucet adaptor might give a little, minor problem at first. But it's all to specs and it works without a leak. Well, maybe a little dribble, that's all. What was impressive was the drain hose! It was simply made for my sink. I just place the drain hose on the sink, the drain end of it rests on the basin of the sink and that was it! Terrific. It's fully automatic. I can go to bed for a nap or go out for a snack and it works perfectly without any unexpected spill. I'm so impressed with it, all. I also did blankets and a bathroom rug. I thought I might need to go to the laundromat which I hate to do. But I didn't need to. They all come out nice and clean, almost like new! Now, I absolutely LOVE my Panda Washing Machine! I can almost say, I can easily almost gladly pay another $100 for it. But, I'll let you decide for yourself, whether you would or not.

I live on the 3rd floor with no building laundry. So come rain shine sleet snow I had to go to the laundromat. I got really sick of doing that. 39 steps up, and 39 steps down. I was skeptical about this but desperately want it to work. It's easy to set up but I don't understand plumbing so the first time watter sprayed out the faucet in little streams. I put a bowl over it and tried again with more plumber tape. Same thing. I figured I want to do this in the bathroom anyway but the bathroom sink is an old pedestal with two spouts. So no go there. Then I had the bright idea to get a shower diverter. Don't do it. Didn't work. So I went to the hardware store and talked to the owner. I took down the piece that goes on the sink. All I needed was another washer. There are two in the pack you get. Depending on the depth of the screw lines on the spout on your sink, you'll need one or two. Learn from my mistake and try this first. It seems small but it holds a lot. I mean a lot. I did a load with the following 7 underwear 3 bras 5 tank tops 2 t-shirts 4 Capri sleep pants. 1 pair socks. No problems at all. I can get a queen size sheet set and a pair of jeans in it for one load. I got 2 standard towels along with 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels in one load. It holds more than you think it does. It has a water level switch so you can do up to 5 different levels of water. I usually do level 3 or 4. I use the standard wash. It has 10 different washes. This is why it got a 4 star instead of a 5 star. The instructions are crap. I have no idea why the normal setting is different from the standard setting. It doesn't explain it. They are both the same amount of time and as far as I can tell, they're the same. It has a filter which you should ABSOLUTELY clean out EVERY time you wash. I couldn't believe how much it filtered. It's a lot. It has a place for you to put the fabric softener and when it's time for the rinse cycle it automatically puts the fabric softener right under the water so it can get dispersed evenly. Nice. It's really pretty quiet until it spins and even then it's more quiet than I thought it would be. All in all I really like this machine. I just wish they would have spent more time on the function section of the manual so I know what the 1-10 cycles are. Some are self explanatory like rinse and spin but standard and normal? What's the difference? I can tell you from sitting by it the entire cycle that standard has 2 rinses. But then so does normal so... That's really the only con I see here once I got the rubber washer thing straightened out.

So, a couple years ago we got a portable dishwasher which taught me the joys of portable appliances. So I knew these existed but with a laundry room in the corner of our building just a few doors and a flight of stairs away- we didn't really see the point in getting one. Then I got hurt. Even though the laundry room isn't that far, those stairs otoh were *painful* for me so, since the husband was on the road, we started talking about getting a portable washing machine. We eventually decided against it when the husband changed vocations to a tech gig where he can work from home. He's home to help me so, that kind of killed that. Then 2020 came. And the coin shortage hit. And stuck around for several *months.* And, the conversation came up yet again. Third time is the charm I guess cause, he caved. :D So, these are my initial impressions and if there's anything else I encounter over the coming months, I'll post it below. Is it easy? For us, it worked right out of the box. With an adapter already installed on the kitchen faucet for the dishwasher, the quick release hose fit just fine already-- in fact, the only thing we "had" to buy was a dolly but that was only because we're on the second floor and it's quieter (and slightly easier) to roll in and out of position than the wheels that it already has. Were we on the ground floor, we wouldn't have bothered. So, extra points for the little wheels. They were a nice touch. I also like the separate options- for example it can do just a rinse and spin or even just a spin if you want as well as adjust the water level. These have already proven useful for us since if you're going to overload it (and let's face facts, *everyone* overloads *any* washing machine at *some* point) you can throw it through an extra wash or an extra rinse or whatever. That's actually kinda nice. The handholds were a thoughtful touch as well. As were the little hooks for the power cord and the drain hose. In fact, I really like the drain hose holder thing so that you can just hook it onto something (like a dish rack for example) and not have to worry about it flopping out of the sink. Water pressure is also low enough that it doesn't cause the hose to jerk around either. So, good job on the details. Now, how loud is it? Obviously, the heavier the load-- the louder it's going to be but, so far? With a normal load, it's actually quieter than my dishwasher even when it spins. The only loud thing about it is the beep at the end of the cycle but, honestly? The beep isn't any louder than my microwave or even my instapot. In fact, it's the exact same beep as both my instapot and my dishwasher. Go figure. lol. Point is that in an open concept apartment, the husband can be working his phone job in the living "room" area while the washing machine is in the kitchen and neither customers nor bosses on the phone can hear anything other than the beeps. (He's claiming that a dump truck is backing up outside if he forgets to hit the mute when it comes to an end.) Finally, how much can it wash? Obviously, it's portable so it's not going to handle the same amount as a full sized machine but, otoh, it's not coin operated so you can go to town and wash whenever you want. ;) Basically? I managed to get a Full sized comforter that was a bit on the thin side through with a little babysitting. Yeah, it took a little manipulating of the load partway through and two rinses but, it went through and since that's the largest item that we have in regular use, that's okay. Now, I would probably prefer the coin op for it because while it came out cleaner, I can't bet my life on it coming out as absolutely clean as it can possibly be but again, right now we have a coin shortage and it really needs to be washed once a month at least-- so, we're at "needs must" territory when it comes to that blanket to be honest. Still, point *is* that it's right on that edge so if your blanket/comforter is super thick and/or Queen sized or larger, you're still gonna have to use the laundromat for that item. To be fair though, I honestly don't see how *any* portable washing machine could handle that old comforter of mine with aplomb anyway so, I'm seriously not docking them any for that. In short? It's wonderful. It really, really is. We don't have to "scout" whether or not there's a washer that's available anymore, we don't have to try to track down a bank that's still willing to give out quarters every couple of weeks (fewer and fewer branches seem to be doing that these days even before the shortage), and we don't have to avoid using the dish towels and cloth napkins either. Really, I foresee our paper towel usage go down as a result. So, yeah, I love this thing! I really, really do. :D Edit: We are now into the first part of 2023 and it's still going strong. Here's some more long term things that I've noticed during that time. 1) it is still *really* easy to overdo the soap!!! I blame a lifetime of regular sized washing machines but this thing takes practically almost none. 2) it's also still kind of easy to try to overload it. Again. I blame myself and not the machine for that. Obviously, if you overlaod any machine too much or put in too much soap, you run the risk of getting those dreaded white streaks but a good trick for preventing that is to use the small, collapsable drying rack we bought as my guide because the perfect load seems to be just what that rack holds. Which is a really good guide, actually. As I mentioned before though, it really isn't that big of a deal because we can easily do another load the next day. Frankly, given that by my calculations, this thing has fully paid for itself by the end of 2021 and has been actively saving us a small fortune in this last year.... I am more than okay with that. In fact, since the loads *are* so quick and easily taken care of, we have found ourselves not procrastinating on doing the laundry anymore. :D

I'm so happy to have received my washing machine. My order came in 4 days earlier thank expected and came as new. It's much bigger than I expected(reaches upto my waist); will be trying it out Today to see how it works. Thanks to all who have made their comments review, this was very helpful in making the right selection and additional things to have before hooking this washing machine. Have a great day! OK, so I didn't try it out the day I got it, keep reading you will know why. I am happy to report that I have used the Panda machine for 5 straight days now and I have been able to wash a good stack of clothes, process is pretty simple (although, not quite that clear on the manual) and noise level is not too bad. When using option #7 for Washing & Rinse, unfortunately the washer ends the cycle by leaving water inside, (by the way during the wash process which is about 45 minutes, it does drain water 3 times) therefore the next step is selecting #9 to drain the water and spin, which is great but does leave clothes quite damped, however, for better results one will have to select #10 (air dry) in order to have clothes feel like they are at least 95% dry, but it's still slightly damped. After hanging them up they were most all dried by the end of the day. However, If you use a fan it will be half that time, depending material. Also, another cool feature is being able to add more water while the cycle is washing (if the machine does not fill up to the level you desire based on the amount of clothing you have added). I was able to add the following items to each wash load: 1st wash-3 medium size towels and 2 small ones. 2nd wash-5 large male shirts and 2 shorts, 3rd wash-10 pairs of male underwear's, 4th wash-10 pairs of sock, 5th wash-7 male dress shirts (2 short sleeve and 5 long sleeves) 6th wash-2 Dresses 4 tang tops, 2 sweaters, 2 spandex tights, 1 skirt and 2 underwear's and 1 exercise bra. To void any water spill/damage (which by the way can happen if one is not careful) I decided to use a large dog tray underneath the washer just in case. Since neighbors can hear the vibration of the washer, I plan to place a noise reduction rug to help minimize that, this way I help keep the peace by not annoying my neighbors.(One must try to think of others before oneself). Another good piece of information is that you do not have to purchase an irrigation blow out winterization kit( Short term for adaptor, which can be found in the garden section of Lowes or Home depot). I purchase it because someone recommended it on a review (I was searching for the same machine on different sites to get the best price deal), but the hose to this washer already has an adapted inside of it, I didn't realize this because after reading that review I thought I needed to purchase it and so I did not bother reading the manual (duh) should I have done that, I would have discovered it and saved multiple hours of stress trying to find it, nonetheless, the good news is that we discovered it by inserting the new adapter (which did not fit) because there was one already inside hose, so that was a sense of relieve, no more purchasing. My husband didn't think it fit. (yet after my attempt, it did) Lol. So don't waste your time buying an additional adapter unless you really need to. My conclusion is that I absolutely love this machine, I'm glad I took the time to read the review and make the best desicion for me. It easily fits in my pantry area, where I can easily plug and attach the adapter to the kitchen sink. I will be taking care of it, so it can last me for many years to come. It is great for small spaces and the rear wheels help it to be fairly easy to maneuver. It is fairly quiet, a bit louder during the spin cycles. Easy to use with 5 water levels, several programs, & the ability to customize with separate functions, such as soaking or just spinning. When I received it, it had a strong "new" scent, so I opened both ends of the box and left it lying on the floor in my hallway overnight. It was much reduced the next day, and once I used it the first time, the scent was pretty much gone. I contacted the company/seller with a question about assembling it, and they responded promptly. I would recommend buying a rubber or plastic mat or "tray" to put under it when it's in use. The gray hose will release water after your wash has finished and you're putting it away. The mat or tray that you purchase separately will capture the water (see photo). There is a lint compartment (see photo) that needs to be cleaned after every wash. The gray hose should be placed in the sink drain to minimize the water drainage level in your sink. I would not leave it unattended. I have used 4 & 5 water levels and 02 program as well some of the individual functions, spinning. Keep the water to fill it either cold or cool. The white hose attaches to the sink faucet, and it needs to be turned on and off during the wash cycle three times during the standard 02 program. It releases water through the gray hose three times. For those reasons, do not leave it unattended. It shows you on the screen the length of time for each program, such as 47 minutes for 02 standard. I use the start/pause to add liquid laundry detergent after it has filled up with water and before it starts agitating. I make sure not to overfill it. There are guidelines in the instructions on what types of clothes to put in it, and I stick to those. The final spin cycle does a great job of extracting most of the water from the clothes. Unplug first then detach the white hose. Expect water spillage from the white and gray hoses. Clean the lint compartment after you take out the clothes. Allow the gray hose drain and then store the machine. I read so many reviews before I purchased this, and I am so glad that I did. I have used it several times, and it works so well with my smaller loads! I highly recommend it.
