The media could not be loaded. So far so good. Just unboxed and set it up today. The first load is running now. I am so happy with how quiet it is when it is running. Barely noticeable. Nice low homey-sounding white noise. Unfortunately, it arrived with a couple of dents near the back, which are not very noticeable so I will keep it rather than returning it for an exchange. But I was disappointed that it was not in perfect condition. It came in a heavy weight shipping box, with an inner box that does not have a bottom with two plastic shipping straps, and styrofoam and cardboard on the corners and around it.) It arrived with some minor scratches as well. When I opened the box, it had a brand new dryer smell. I wiped it down inside and out with some vinegar and water before putting my clothes inside because I have MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) and haven't used a laundromat or public washers or dryer for many years. I got the Costway Portable washer a year ago on Amazon and love that too. This dryer now makes my life so much easier! This newer Panda model has touch-pad settings at the top of the dryer. Yay! Big plus. The other models have a knob on bottom right. It has a blue illuminated light that goes around in a circle, showing it is running. It is whisper quiet (imo). It came with a plastic vent tube and attachment for the back. It also comes with mounting hardware in case you want to put it on a wall (?) or? I set it on top of a couple of heavy wood crates until I can get a stand or table for it. The height is better for the back if it is off the ground. It also came with four adjustable screw-on feet in case the floor or ground is uneven like mine is. I am posting some photos and a video. I thought it was kind of funny when I read the instruction manual and the first thing it warns about is fire hazard and NOT to use a plastic vent tube! :) I know they are just covering themselves legally, but it's kind of weird they would send a plastic vent tube when they claim it is a fire hazard. (See photo). I was going to buy a metal vent hose anyway, so I am going to use a metal one because the plastic one looks as if it might crack or wear out quickly. But, it works nicely for now. I was researching these small portable dryers for a long time and was going to order the less expensive Magic Chef dryer, but I am so happy I spent the extra money to get this one! They carry it at a popular home hardware store, but Amazon's price was better for the exact same model. No regrets at all (so far.) I will update after using it for a few months if anything changes. Even though it arrived dented (as have all of the other appliances I have purchased from Amazon :-(, so I kind of expected it, I give this dryer five-stars and recommend it. PS: The only thing that would make it even BETTER is if it came in different colors, like black or grey. ... show more

This dryer is EXACTLY what I was looking for!! I did a few loads of laundry already and OH MY GOODNESS IT'S HOT!! The dryer gets nice and warm just how like a full sized dryer and ALL of my clothes (5 muscle t's, four pair of shorts, 1 regular t-shirt, tank top, and three pairs of socks) came out dry, after about 45 minutes. I have to say, DO NOT let the small size fool you. Yes it is 2.65cu but it works really nicely. One potential caveat is that the amount of heat this compact dryer puts out I would avoid using the plastic exhaust tubing that comes with the dryer. For potential safety reasoning I upgraded or changed the exhaust tubing to a metallic/foil vent that withstand some heat. Some reviews stated their dryers arrived dented, but my dryer was fully protected. It was a box inside of a box and YES the packaging came discreetly. Since I live in a condo and have rather intrusive neighbors. LOL I am so glad I made this purchase! This is a good compact dryer for small spaces and did I mention it’s a touch screen?! granted the touch l is limited in options, still, it really functions like a full sized dryer! BUY THIS DRYER! You'll love it! I know I do! 2020 Update: I have installed my little dryer in a linen closet that is 2ft wide (24inch) by 2ft deep, it’s perfect and compact!! Had the 2.6 unit go bad after 3 years. The 2 pullies in the clutch wore out on the sides and the drum belt would no longer stay in place to keep the drum moving. And of course there are no spare parts to be found so I tried ordering the 3.5 cu version on the second go but holy crap that thing whistles loud enough to wake the dead. The rubber around the door does not compress enough and it pulls air in around it causing every dog in a 2 mile radius sever pain. ... show more

Ok the dryer worked great for a year. Exactly a year and it stopped heating. I contacted customer service and they stopped responding to me completely. I can’t find parts anywhere online and calling a repair person would cost more than replacing it. Gave two stars because it lasted a year. Piece of junk. Doesn’t even last. Buy a better brand. ... show more

Fantastic little Dryer. Went with this one because of the digital style controls and control panel on the top.. I am so glad we got this Panda dryer as opposed to another Magic Chef dryer which are decent but compared to this one they just don't add up. We have a 10lb washer and this drys each load in 60 mins on high (1/3 cycle as opposed to full 200 mins on MC unit) combined 2 mixed weight loads gave it 120 mins...fully dry.. No problem for this little Dryer which was truly quite impressive if you've used a compact dryer before.. Fairly quiet its about 10 feet from my tv running with very little impact noise wise. If your searching for the best affordable compact dryer this is the best of the 3 I have owned. ... show more
