Compact and lightweight for a director or on-set BTS, the X2000 shoots and records UHD 4K at broadcast- compatible frame rates, so it fits smoothly into your existing broadcast workflow. The X2000 features a 1/2.5" 8.29M MOS sensor that is always shooting at 4K resolution, the Venus processing engine to scale the 4K image for Full HD delivery, and both 3G-SDI and HDMI outputs. Audio is recorded in up to 24-bit PCM via the built-in microphone. Just got it, and my first impressions are that it's awesome. The build and parts seem to be high quality, and the 4k picture is noticeably better than 1080p on my old camera. The menu is much more intuitive as well. Very pleased with it. The price was also about $150 less than I'm seeing anywhere else, and I really appreciate the package extras, notably the 64gb card. My only issue is that for the power block cable, the one in my box has a European tip. I probably have a spare American one lying around that I can swap in, but if anyone from Panasonic is reading this and wants to send me the American power cable, that would be great. This is a fantastic camera! The size and picture quality make it perfect for the run and gun videographer. The menu is a bit complicated to navigate and the controls are not terribly user friendly, but once the camera is set to your preferences then it is fantastic!
