Great product to address nose hair, ear hair and facial hair. (Yes, I know, not a great subject for discussion but ...) I puchased mine four years ago and it does a great job. It's very easy to use. Operates on two AAA alkaline batteries and don't switch to lithium--I tried it and the motor didn't run the same so back to alkalines. I especially like the fact that the trimmer vacuums the clipped hairs but is still washable. It's a little fussy for disassembly and reassembly but if you take your time and don't rush it, it's easy-peasy and makes the cleaning process go much more smoothly. It does a great job trimming unwanted hair and works beautifully. I've used mine every couple of days over the last four years and it still works like new. It is a little more expensive than other nose hair trimmers I've seen (and tried) but it is definitely much higher quality, also. ... show more

at first it feels a little bare bones at this price point, being that it doesn't come with a case or extra accessories or batteries or anything, just a small brush to clean it with, that said there is a lot to like about this trimmer. The fact that it has a little vacuum compartment that sucks up most of the hair is awesome, it's also super easy to clean out, it's easy to remove the blade if you end up needing to replace it with a new one, it's also easy to open the vacuum compartment when needed, (though it takes a bit of finger dexterity), and because it's washable you can just rinse the inside of the blade area/vaccuum area out with water which is also awesome, in my use with this item I found that it did a really good job of allowing me to pinpoint the specific hairs I wanted to remove, and overall think this is a great item for fine detail shaving work, its awesome for nose hair, but it also works for eyebrows and touch up around the beard and so on. Good purchase overall, especially now that rechargeable AAA batteries are pretty common place, there's no real downside to this item. ... show more

This thing uses regular batteries, not built-in rechargeable batteries. It's a lot safer and more pleasant to use than a pair of scissors for nose hair, produces a light vacuum when running to suck out all the cut hair from the nostril and has a mesh inside that catches the hair. The cutting head can also fully be disassembled down to the blades for sanitizing and cleaning. There is also a rinse hole in the cutting head that can be used to flush out the mesh filter by running the tap on it. However, it sounds terrible; always sounds like there's sand caught in the cutting head blades even when disassembled, cleaned, dried, lubricated with oil and reassembled. This is a high-value device but not a luxury device. It does its job well, is easy to keep clean, has replaceable batteries, is safe to use and definitely worth the money. ... show more

I have had many nose hair trimmers in the past, electric and manual. This one runs smoother and is more powerful than all the others (well perhaps not as powerful as a manual trimmer - but does a better job!). Is very efficient and vacuum feature is good and avoids additional clean up (keeps wife/partner happy at least). I think the price is reasonable for a quality item that should last for a decent time. Some of the other electric nose trimmers I have brought over the years May work ok to start with but do not last long - and none of them do as good a job - that is one reason I turned to manual trimmers which work reasonably but are less convenient and can pull at hairs. This one is very pleasant and comfortable to use and easy to clean. Would have been nice if it came with a bag/storage case like some others (I have used one from an old trimmer which no longer works). One other feature which it is missing is eyebrow trimmers - which would be nice but not the main reason I brought this trimmer. Update: January 2024 - trimmer has stopped working. Looks fine, have changed batteries and tried different things to get it to work again with no success. A few times earlier I had to wiggle batteries around to get a good connection but that do not work this time. Had hoped would last longer but did a good job while working. ... show more

I bought mine in February of 2025. It frequently comes apart, but now it's become useless. The nose cone is stuck in the cap with no side edges reachable to pull it out. I'm left with only the base unit and the razor cutter itself. It had never even been a very good trimmer. Yes, it trims what it contacts straight on, but it does no trimming around the sides. If you can't get to the hairs at a 90° angle, you're probably not going to get it trimmed. ... show more

The main critiques range from not lasting very long (the $17 Panasonic), being too harsh, and not being effective at all (Manscaping). If there's one issue with each: very low power. This model does indeed seem to have a higher-speed motor, and good trimming ability, when new. However, like all of the Panasonic models I have owned, it becomes finicky after several months, either acting like the batteries are dead (even though fresh) or running at greatly reduced speed. Perhaps the most notable fact for potential buyers in the United States is that, here, the warranty period is 30 days and requires returning the product and all original packaging (so don’t toss the box). ... show more
