To quote Goldilocks, I’d say this desk is just right for me. This replaces an old bulky desk that was in terrible shape. I wanted something modern-looking and smallish for my space, with a few drawers for storage. It took less than an hour to assemble by myself, with minimal head-scratching. The instructions could have been a bit more explicit. They provide graphics with no text. In a couple of them, there were arrows pointing to certain screwholes without explaining what you’re supposed to do there. I finally realized these particular graphics were illustrating which way a given part should be positioned before you progress to the next step. Once assembled, the desk looks really nice. The faux marble finish adds some elegance and doesn’t look as “faux” as I expected. The fabric drawers are on the narrow side, but they can hold standard size paper (8.5 by 11); however, you don’t want to put too much weight in the drawers. The same is true for the desk surface. Although the desk is sturdy, it won’t hold a lot of weight – I wouldn’t put a heavy printer on it, for example. And because it’s a smallish surface, setting up computer peripherals like a monitor and keyboard will make it very crowded. This desk works well for my occasional “office” task. Good size even for adults and enough space by the legs to fit an ottoman underneath. Since I got the white I got a clear cover to put on top so I don’t mess it up with my makeup. The instructions were AMAZING! It was so clearly written and pieces were all labeled, so you really couldn't go wrong. It looks just like the picture, a nice bubblegum pink with darker gray drawers and white accents. It is lightweight and just a super good deal. it fits most office chairs underneath too, with space to move on either side and also forward/back. The only downside was the hook on the side (for cords) ; it sticks out quite far is a rather dangerous -- you can walk into it easily and get injured. I initially built it with the side hook and then decided to take off the hook and now it looks better and is safer. Unless you really the need the hook I'd leave that piece off. Very happy with the purchase and especially the instructions (someone very good with English wrote them!). ... show more

The instruction manual is nearly impossible to follow, however, the actual desk is really nice and it provides a pretty decent amount or space, especially in smaller spaces.
