I got this as a wind block when camping in my van. Sometimes there is a cold stiff wind that blows right under the van, making it uncomfortable to hang out outside. I place this wind block on the windward side to stop the wind, making it much nicer to sit on the leeward side of the van. I installed magnets on the top edge, and use bungee cords to secure the ends. If the wind is especially strong I also hold down the bottom edge with rocks or chunks of firewood. I confess that I was taken in by the product image without looking into the product any further. So when it arrived, I was somewhat surprised. The product intro photo is deceptive, but every other photo of the product is accurate. The tarp was not simply brown, but rather a weave of both brown and black. The fifth photo shows a close-up of what it actually looks like. It looks like a small (3' X 10') tarp, although it appears to be well-made, and more of a dense screen, not made to be waterproof. I bought it with the neighbors in mind, so they won't have to look over the fence at my messy outside work bench when they are on their deck entertaining guests. I talk to people all day, so sometimes the last thing I want to hear or see is another person at least till the next morning. Listening to music helps me not hear anyone, and the privacy fence helps me from seeing anyone gawking from the sidewalk. (Especially my neighbors) Another huge plus is that the fence keeps small pieces of garbage from floating into the grass. I'm sure it also helps with keeping out unwanted weeds seedlings. This is a high quality privacy screen. I installed it on my wooden fence that separates my yard from the city street. It prevents people from being able to look through the slats. I installed it by screwing in some loops, then securing it with the zip ties that were included. The screen is nice and thick and holds up to the outdoor weather very well. The material on this is sturdy and solid, definitely feels weatherproof. This is a very nice screen. It does provide some shade and protection (I use it on my dog kennel) but allow for some wind to get through. This is important, I live in a windy area. It is strong fabric and I have no doubt it will last for some time. Also the edges have an extra layer sewn into it to keep the edges secure and help keep the grommets in place. I have mine installed about 12" above ground level so my dogs can still peek at whatever may be in their yard. And again with the wind, having that opening at the bottom keeps it from flapping around. This is a good quality product and it looks nice. Glad to have it. I hope this was helpful. ... show more
