So far so good. They sound good. Almost fit around my 93 jeep family frame, had to remove one rubber mount because the speaker wire clips wouldn't close all the way if the pipe is too big and the clamp is in the way. So if could change one thing about the item would be the location of those wire clips. Two of the screws closest to the speaker for the clamp are over torque from factory the nut almost stripped the plastic. It would be better if they didn't even assemble it at all. ... show more

The speakers have a nice and impactful appearance. The sound quality is decent using a standard inexpensive head unit. Unfortunately these speaker's did not install well on my '93 YJ's OEM roll bars. I experienced (2) primary issues: 1. Due to the 2.25" width of the bars, the back portion of the mounting clamp (thick plastic) pushes the speaker wire connection clamps down so they are partially open and the wires cannot be fully clamped in. 2. The mounting screw nuts can strip the plastic nut shape holder inside the back of the mounting clamp (you do not have access to the nuts once they are tightened). The plastic form is not strong enough to hold the small nuts in place if you apply a decent amount of pressure on them. I installed them in the typical "hanging straight below the roll bar" orientation, but they require more torque if they're to say in place, especially during off-road use, not to mention a jeep with standard OEM suspension on standard roads and typical vibration. If issue #1 was the only challenge, I would have taken the chance and modified the plastic so it didn't interfere with the wire clamps. Unfortunately issue #2 was a deal breaker. Smaller diameter bars may have better luck working well. INSTALLATION TIPS 1. Pay close attention to the torque when tightening each screw. If it strips it's difficult to uninstall 2. Consider adding several nuts to each screw to increase surface area holding and mitigate stripping so easily 3. Use Loctite to help ensure nuts don't vibrate loose 4. Consider adding a flat and lock washer that fits inside the hex mold. No guarantees but the lock washer should also help keep the nut from stripping once a little pressure is applied. I'm not sure a lock washer alone will hold in the plastic. Hope this review helps. ... show more

I bought these speakers to mount on my rhino. Man are these things great. Not sure if it just has to do with where I mounted them or not but they’re loud enough to where you can’t hear anything outside the wheeler or the person you’re sitting next too. Good bass and sound for what they are. I will usually only go out of my way to review something if it’s impressive or if something is misleading or really terrible but with these speakers I would have to say you’re great bang for your buck. Sound is great, clarity is good until the volume is all the way up and quality wise I’d say they made pretty well. They are bigger than you’d think and I’ve smashed my head on them getting in the wheeler many times and they haven’t cracked or nothin yet. ... show more

The sound quality is "alright" but you get what you pay for. I also bought two 8" speakers from this company and 3 of the bolts cross threaded ½ way through just trying to take them out to install them on my wakboard tower. Then they've been giving me the run around trying to get new mounting brackets sent out. I didn't even want new speakers (they worked great and I hadn't even installed them yet but I tested them on the amp in my UTV). This company wanted me to do a "field destroy" before they would sent me new brakets (that they would all of a sudden have in stock). If Huffy (crappy mountain bike company) made a wakeboard tower speaker I would go with that over this company!!! ... show more
