Most kids paintings get thrown away shortly after completion. Seldom do we keep them or frame them. But this is an art project that has an immediate, useful function.

This is a really great kit and you get something functional at the end. Even before painting, the moon globe is pretty darn cool. It has a ton of options for lighting - 15 different colors, brightness/fade adjustment and different patterns (like color-to-color fade, flashing, etc.). The remote works well and is nice for adjusting from across the room in case it's too bright to be right by your bedside. At its brightest setting, it is quite bright! The artsy part of it is super fun also. It comes with 12 color paints that you can also mix to make even more colors, although the 12 cover most of the basics you would want. It comes with two brushes, a wide and narrow, which is helpful for completing your design as you wish it to be. The little plaster figurines you can make and also paint is kind of funny, but kind of cute and good for little kids. I can see these getting lost easily - unless you use the included magnet tape to make fridge magnets out of them! This set really tried to think of everything. You don't really need to add much of anything except a little water to mix up the plaster. The stand is also actually nice, tho the pegs and holes were a little tight, but could be put together with a bit of extra force. I totally recommend this and it makes a great gift for the space-loving artist!

So here’s the thing this was SOO much fun for my daughter and I to do together and she was very excited about the lighting. The painting was great the using the molds and making things to paint was very easy however for whatever reason the light always goes out within max 30 minutes of turning it on more like 15. We haven’t figured out why I fully charged it but even taking it off the charger it will turn off after like 15 minutes.

My children and I sat here and painted their moon lamp! This was such a fun family idea and it helps my kids not be so scared of the dark! It was super easy to put together and paint. It charges but the charge doesn’t last that long. Overall the light is nice but not that great for the quality.

We’ve yet to do anything more with this set than paint the light, but our little, five, has enjoyed it immensly. The kit came with quite a bit, for the price, and it seems to be of good quality. He not only loved painting his little light, but is thrilled with his new nightlight. My daughter and I plan to do the molds one night while he sleeps, so that he can paint them later. I have no doubts that he’ll enjoy them just as much as the light. This is an excellent little arts and crafts project for little ones.

I got this for my 4 YO, it turns lots of colors which he loves and it will change colors when it gets bumped so sometimes when he bumps his bookshelf it turns the next color but he thinks its a fun game. It also has a remote but he doesn't need it. He got to build the nest thing which we both thought was pretty cool and he painted his like Jupiter. Even with a good amount of ( pretty blobby) paint it still has some colors ( light blues and whites) that are decently bright- I was impressed. Everything worked and it comes with a cord but no block and we actually used some different brushes we had because we used a lot of the same color. It is not made out of plaster or ceramic it is made out of a plastic but that is molded and is matte on the top so you don't have the milk jug problem. This would be a great gift for anyone really- I think even an adult would find this cute and would like making it for someone or themselves.
