I ordered this thinking for the price it was worth a try. I have a nice big sprayer but the cleanup is so difficult and not worth it for smaller projects. I used this sprayer to paint a large TV console. I used oil based paint (I didn’t want to use oil based in my nice sprayer) It worked perfectly. I was so pleased and surprised with how well it did. I’m so glad I gave this a try. I’ll be interested to see how it does on another project. Especially after using an oil based paint on this first project. Hopefully I cleaned it out good enough. What a deal!

The first time I used this spray gun, I was so excited. It was fast and efficient when I was painting a concrete garage wall, not to mention the LED light was helpful to ensure I didn’t miss any spots. After spraying, I followed the directions verbatim to clean it. I took it apart, washed out each piece individually, filled the paint canister with soapy water, and ran it through to flush the system. A few weeks later—of course just a few days after the return window has closed—I went to use it again. The light kept flickering off and the gun was getting extremely hot. I checked to make sure my power cord was secure, then took apart the pieces to make sure there wasn’t a clog. It persisted to spray hot and make a high pitched whistling noise. I gave up and took the pieces off to clean out. Meanwhile, my wife (an engineer) decided to unscrew the main compartment to look if something was wrong with the motor. It turns out, the old paint (you could tell by the color), had somehow leaked into the fan during the first use and dried in clumps around the fan, damaging it beyond repair. She told me it shouldn’t be able to do that and it likely wasn’t a user error. Guess that means I’m out the cost of this sprayer, so beware to any about to buy it. Back to rollers, I guess.

I purchased this sprayer for small around the house jobs and it does fine. If you need sprayer with even distribution and no runs, this may not be the right one for you, however. A couple of things to be aware of: 1) The sprayer gets VERY hot quickly. I could only use it for about fifteen minutes at a time without burning myself or concern that the motor was going to burn out. 2) You have to water your paint down quite a it for the sprayer to work. 3) You don't get a lot of coverage so you if you are covering something you may need to go over two or three times. Not the greatest sprayer, but for the price, it works fine.

We used this to spray stain on our fence. The only issue we had was towards the final hour or so using it, the sprayer was getting overheated. Other than that, our time painting was cut down to and eighth of the time to paint the fence. It's easy to clean and stores nicely.

The sprayer leaks, splatters paint and wasteful. I could not get a good/even spray. It leaks (drips) when you release the trigger. Inconsistent and makes a mess. It even blew off the masking tape in some places. After it was such a pain and mess, I rushed through the two other walls of the small bathroom, so that I had time to roll the paint even. It wasn't worth the time to clean and return. Sprayer went straight into the garbage. Rolling the paint was so much faster on my next coats. Only thing good about the sprayer was the light. So my recommendation is to get a good roller or hire a painter.
