These are beautiful brushes....I ordered these for myself but placed a second order to give as Christmas stocking gifts......each brush wrapped so,nicely. I'm very impressed.

These brushes are durable and easy to clean. I painted for 8 hours using a urethane trim paint, without a single bristle detaching from the brush. Of course, these brushes should not be soaked in water, as the wood handles will expand and contract, damaging brush integrity. I was pleased that the brush laid down an even, drip-free coat. However, these brushes are good, not exceptional; they are limited in mobility. The handles are too bulky to be comfortable for detail work. Additionally, the bristles are two-toned, not two different lengths. Finer brushes have shorter, thick bristles to provide stability, while the bristles for paint application are thinner and extend beyond the support bristles. I was uncomfortable trying to cut an edge against a painted wall using one of these brushes. All-in-all, be prepared to tape-off trim work. But, these brushes are just fine for broader applications.

Good average paint brushes. I do not paint that often. I usually buy the cheapest brushes I can use and throw them away. I liked these enough to clean them and put back in the cover for next time. 3 star brushes promoted to 5 star at this price.

These brushes are purportedly flagged bristle. They are *not* bristle. They are nylon, completely synthetic. If you are working on a project that is totally unimportant and prominent brushstrokes don’t bother you, use these. But if you are a professional house painter stay away.

Have bought these before, work well for price. This time I removed them from the boxes, put them in a dry large ziplock and they sat for 1 hour in the sun on the job site. When I turned around to use them the bag was soaked inside with water droplets. Very strange.

I'm in the middle of a small painting project at home and just before beginning I realized that I had left most of my painting stuff (including my brushes) at our summer cottage. Since I generally buy pretty good brushes (Wooster or Purdy) I figured I was going have to spend $45 on a few new brushes to replace those I aleady have. Fortunately I saw this offer on the Vine program and decided to try these out before I wasted money on additional brushes and I'm glad I did. As I'm used to spending more on one brush than these 5 cost all together, I wasn't really holding my breath and figured these would be little more than disposable chip brushes. However when I opened the box I was surprised to find what appeared to be 5 (4 angled and 1 flat) pretty decent brushes. I was curious to see if maybe the had scrimpped on the bristles and they brushes were going to shed all over the place but no, they are well attached and even after puling on them pretty hard none of them came loose. They all have nice wooden handles and reusable carboard cases, just like my other far more expensive brushes. The bristles are what I would classify as soft/medium which is a bit softer than I usually buy but certainly acceptable. I had a chance to use two of the trim brushes already, one for latex and the other for a solid body stain, and both worked quite well. Can I tell you that these brushes are as good as my $15 brushes or that they will last as long? No, I suspect the are a step down from those but certainly good and considering that 5 brushes cost less than I usually spend for one makes these a great deal.
