GREAT product! This is our second PackTowel which I bought after we returned from a 2 month trip to Europe. Given the length of the trip we were washing clothes in our scrubba bag or in the sink. After getting as much water as possible out of the clothes we rolled them in the towel & then twisted it up tight. It's amazing how much water was still left in the clothes. When the towel became saturated we simply wrung it out & kept going. The towel was dry by morning. We've used our other PackTowel for years while camping, hiking & traveling.

I was apprehensive buying this towel because of the surface texture. I've had other cheaper towels with a similar surface and they were uncomfortably sticky to wet skin. This towel does stick a little but it's not a real issue. The absorbancy is fantastic I could have gotten one two sizes smaller and it would have done the job. For me 6ft tall broad shoulders I wanted the big one. It fills the role of many things including a nice blanket for use on busses or aircraft. Works well as an extra layer while camping to keep my feet warmer. I've even used it as a wind break at camp. As an edc pack towel even this size is convenient and actually is carried in my every day pack. Great if your out and you step into the gym for a quick shower. This doesn't take up alot of smell even using it for a week without washing it. Further it dries very quickly. Worth every penny.

I bought this because I think I saw it rated on Wirecutter. This thing is super versatile and I've actually not seen one at this size or thickness before. It is very thing but dense and I used it all the time on my last trip. I actually preferred to use this over my Airbnb towels because it just dried so much faster. I brought it to the beach, fishing, hiking - you can use it to dry off dishes - it's just fantastic. I'll probably get another in one of the cool patterns.

I used this towel for 9 months on deployment it was my only towel and washed weekly. It performed perfect and dries quickly in on navy ship berthing. Highly recommend it.

I take this towel when I go backpacking. It adds negligible weight to my pack and allows me to dry off after impromptu swimming along the trail. Hang it up afterwards and it will be totally dry in a couple hours. It will be dry in 5 minutes if you can put it in direct sunlight.

This towel is great in so many ways yet there are some cons. One con in particular makes me rate this a 3 of five. Cons: 1. As others have noted, the threading on the edge of the towel unraveled after one wash. The washing was as per the manufacturer's directions; cold water, like colors, normal wash cycle; no fabric softener. I allowed it to air dry overnight. After using it once, I noticed the edge opposite the loop corner has frayed off. I don't know now if the actual towel fabric will start fraying or not, but this shouldn't happen after 1 wash. And I mention it only because others have, so I'm guessing this was a design flaw or a quality control issue. 2.This is less a con than a caveat. The material feels strange on the skin. It's not bad; just very different from terry cloth. My wife likened it to a chamois, and it is very chamois-like, though synthetic. Don't be put off by it; just be aware that it feels differently on the skin than a regular towel. The pros: 1. I got the "hand towel" size. It's rather large for a hand towel, but yet rather small for a body towel. Nonetheless, I could use both hands on the ends to dry my back, meaning it is just large enough if you're not a huge person to use after a full immersion shower. 2. It really does soak up the moisture. Unlike a terry towel, this actually only requires one pass of the towel. So the caveat I mentioned above (how it feels on the skin) is more than compensated for its performance. This thin piece of material really does dry a normal sized man thoroughly. 3. Out of the wash it dried overnight. It's sitting on a rack right now drying from the shower I took with it this morning, and mostly dry some hours later. I suspect it will be completely dry by morning, despite being rather wet when I hung it up. 4. It packs really, really small. The "hand towel" size, despite its generous dimensions for a hand towel, packs into a small, zippered bag (included) the size of a birthday card envelope, and not much thicker than that. So for backpackers, or for a day pack, or a go bag, it's pretty hard to beat for size and weight. This would be a superlative for an emergency kit. Final Thoughts: I want to buy another of these towels maybe more, in a larger size. Yet I hesitate for the con I stated above: there's no point in shelling out more money if there's a consistent QUALITY CONTROL issue.
