Years ago, I spent a few nights at the 4 Seasons Hotel sleeping in the coziest, most luxurious bed. Before I left, I made sure to read the label on the incredible down comforter and when I got home, I called them and ordered one just like the one at the 4 Seasons. It was from Pacific Coast and I have loved that comforter to this day. This one may be even better. The way Pacific Coast down comforters are made seems to have improved with nice baffling to contain the feathers in boxes so you don't end up with an uneven distribution of down and hot and cold spots when you sleep. The boxes also concentrate more of the feathers over the center, where you sleep, and less along the edges. I think that is quite clever. The duvet is light and yet warm without being heavy or suffocating. I tend to get warm at night but am most comfortable with down because it keeps me warm and cool if that makes sense. This is called an "all season" comforter so it definitely isn't their heaviest weight, but probably ideal for me. It's finished impeccably with piping along the edges. The cover is a long-staple cotton cover designed to contain the feathers and it has corner tabs to keep the duvet well-seated in the cover. . I am a bit of a down comforter and pillow fanatic and over the years have collected quite a few. I ordered one from Scotland once and have purchased many others. This brand though is really my favorite. I am absolutely over the moon with this comforter and I can't imagine you won't be too.

I absolutely love this duvet insert. It's incredibly comfortable, warm without being too warm, quiet, soft, and extremely well-made with luxurious-feeling materials. The baffling is also well-done, so I don't expect to see any shifting of materials even years down the line. The duvet arrives compressed, but it fluffs up wonderfully in the dryer, and it's the perfect thickness after that (picture on my bed is pre-fluff). Note, though, that this is professional clean only, so I wouldn't attempt to wash it or do more than a fluff in the dryer. That's not atypical for true down comforters though. I've been using down and feather duvets and comforters for decades, but I've never had one this wonderful. I can't recommend it highly enough.

I've always loved down pillows except for 'fill clumping' and getting poked by the occasional escaping feather, which is why I have never really entertained the idea of a down comforter. Pacific Coast seems to have solved both those problems with their small baffle box construction and "Superior Down Proofing" Lightweight and cozy. Tie bars on all four corners. Cooling sateen texture makes me sorry for the need to put a cover on it. I'm am a little concerned I might sleep too warm for this comforter to be used outside of cold weather months but I won't know the answer to that for a while yet so keep in mind it might not be "all season" for "all people". It may seem a bit a pricey until you consider you spend 1/3 of your life in your bed. If you use it every day for a year that's roughly .80 cents a day. Odds are your last pair of shoes end up costing you more than that and bet your shoes are not his comfortable. Highly Recommended

This is hands down the nicest comforter I’ve ever owned. It’s so cozy. It’s not super heavy, overly thick or anything, but it’s warm without making you hot. I’m a hot sleeper but this comforter keeps me warm on cold nights without overheating me. Beyond that, the construction of it is amazing. There’s even branded material along the hem to reinforce the fabric and stuffing. There are also tie tabs not only at the corners, but at midpoints on each side so you can secure your duvet cover in 8 places. It washes easily and comes out just as good as new. I seriously couldn’t love this comforter more. It’s better than the high end brands I’ve bought. I 100% recommend it.

Wrapped in a cloud of comfort! The material is so nice, it's not all crinkly, wrinkly, or rough like some. The stitching is perfect (or so far seems to be) There are no clumps of feathers thanks to the baffling. It's OEKO-TEX certified, means it passes strict textile safety standards (every used material has to pass) and RDS certified which means the birds are free from unnecessary harm, hunger, thirst, injury, distress, etc. That helps me sleep better at night!! It may be a bit warm in the hot summer but it comes with a storage bag if I need to take it off for a couple of months. I love it.

I have never had a true down comforter before and now I know what all the fuss is about. This is a wonderful comforter and is great on cold winter nights. I opened it up in the morning and it had fluffed up quite a bit by the time I was ready for bed. It fluffed up a bit more over the next couple days as well. The baffle-box construction keeps it a consistent thickness without parts of it bunching up. The overall construction is really nice and feels like it will last many, many years. The ribbons on the corners made it easy to get a duvet on it. We’ll see how it feels in the summer but so far it’s great for winter.

If you haven't experienced a true natural down comforter, you owe it to yourself to at least try! The thermal regulation provided by natural down simply cannot be beat my synthetic and polyester comforters. Also, the weight and material just "feels" more natural, and good to touch. This one in particular is made for all seasons, though I'd imagine it might be just a tad too warm for the Texas summer, but we'll see! All in all, I love it, and will be making it my regular comforter going forward.
