I bought this specifically to clean my large, stainless steel french press. The long spoon that came with the press had a comically small head, and the sound of metal scraping on metal was grating. This spatula is the perfect shape to scrape out spent coffee grounds into the trash in just a few swipes--a small head that fits into the mouth of the press and a sturdy handle long enough to reach the bottom of the press. It cleans easily and has survived many a trip through the dishwasher. Of course, it works elsewhere one might use a silicone spatula. For example, it's great for pancake batter. Please note: the head is relatively soft (by design, surely). So if you are hoping to scoop rice from the rice cooker or coax homemade ice cream from the churner to storage you may need something firmer (I tried both of these with limited success). ... show more

Great dexterity using this spatula. It's easy to stir the sourdough in the jar. And it's easy to scoop out a portion of the sourdough from the jar. I bought a second one, I loved this one so much. Some spatulas have too much flex but this one just has a bit of flex at the end. Great design.

This is the most perfect little size for getting into tough spots. I bought it to replace my pampered chef mini mix n scrape that was falling apart. I cannot believe that I actually love this OXO even more than the pampered chef one. The handle is comfortable and the head is sturdy. I am weirdly picky about my kitchen tools and if I don’t absolutely HAVE to have it, I won’t own it. I reach for this tool every time I’m in the kitchen for some task or another. Perfect size for cleaning food stuffs from inside jar or bowl. Only little issue is that rubber around the end of spatula, you might say blade's edge, is bit frail hence easily brake off.
