Description

The OXO Good Grips Silicone Flexible Tongs combine the strength of stainless steel with the advantages of silicone. The silicone outer layer, which is heat resistant to 600 degrees Fahrenheit and safe for non-stick cookware, is bonded to a flexible stainless steel core for stability and ease of use. The Tongs have a flat head shape with thin, flexible edges that glide easily beneath foods and are perfect for flipping fragile foods while keeping them intact. Use the Silicone Flexible Tongs to lift delicate foods such as fish, asparagus and scallops, or to cook chicken breasts and steaks. The straight front edge is also great for deglazing and scraping the bottom of pans. The Tongs are approximately 12 long and have soft, non-slip handles and comfortable thumb rests. Lock the Tongs closed for convenient storage

Works great in non-stick pans as it won't scratch them, good for flipping bacon and sausage. Going through the dishwasher left it with a white coating on the silicone, might be my water so just hand washed them after that and no problems, works great and you can pull the little hook thing on the back to lock them closed for storage. ... show more

It wasn't sturdy enough to pick up anything of substance. Might be OK if all you are turning is toast or picking up salad or something else light. But forget about using it to turn over a burger or a steak or a large piece of fish - it bends and the item falls out, or you can grip extra tightly and end up pinching your paw. Ouch! We have other OXO products and love them. Bought this to replace some other OXO ordinary tongs we had that had lasted like 10 years. Maybe we just weren't using this correctly. ... show more
