I would! Hands down.. for a quality product and ease of use. I tried to "economize' and spent $15.00 on a salad spinner that you turn the handle and half the time it would not work or was very difficult to turn, I gave up and donated it. Save yourself time and frustration, and just spend the extra money on a product like this one. I know it's hard to part with your hard earned dollars on a salad spinner, but trust me, if your family enjoys salads as frequently as we do then the ease of merely pushing down to get the rotation started, will help you forget all about those extra dollars you spent on this product, allowing you to just enjoy your your nicely washed /rinsed lettuce in your salad. Big, deep salad bowl. Enough room for salad for maybe 6 or side salads for 8 people. Pretty bowl looks nice on the table. I expect this heavy duty Oxxo Salad Spinner to last a lot longer than the ones I've had to replace annually. When the pump is locked in place the lid is flat. I live in an RV, so everything had to fit in one drawer layered together: the big salad bowl, its strainer basket, a glass mixing bowl, a smaller strainer, then the Oxxo spinner lid. Such great quality! All the pieces are nice, sturdy, and functional. I love that you can use the large glass bowl as a serving bowl as well, that was a huge plus for me! We love salad at our house and go through our fair share of lettuce, so this makes getting a whole bunch of lettuce cleaned and prepared promptly very simple! This is a great gift like for a newlywed couple or as a gift to someone who loves salad!     • Easy to use and clean, subpar locking mechanism

I purchased this product because I had a salad spinner (different brand) that broke last year after only a few months' use and I was longing for a salad spinner to simplify my weekly salad preparation ritual. My past salad spinner had a manual turning mechanism that was physically demanding and which made it difficult to store in my cupboard and refrigerator because it added a vertical height to the salad spinner of around 4 inches (which is a big deal in a fridge in my opinion). Therefore, my criteria when considering purchasing a new salad spinner were the following: - A push mechanism, rather than a manual turning mechanism - A locking feature on the push button to reduce vertical height - A more notable brand less inclined to break within a few months of use This salad spinner met all of those criteria, so purchase it I did. I am satisfied with my purchase and recommend this product to others looking for a salad spinner! So far, it has continued to meet those criteria listed above. The following is one caveat to the product's features which I feel could be improved by OXO in future designs. The lock mechanism does not enter into the push button as far as it should and is too easily unlocked. For example, sometimes, the lock becomes unlocked and the push button springs to full height when I accidentally set the spinner down too hard on the counter or if I tap the lid to the spinner. In other words, the lock mechanism is a little touchy. This issue is slight and in my opinion, does not detract so much from the product that I am dissatisfied with it. But, it can be slightly annoying and shocking when the lock inadvertently allows the push button to spring upwards. I am almost wondering if this is just a manufacturing error with a small batch of these spinners, because usually OXO is on top of the functionality of their products, in my experience. This salad spinner is by far the best I’ve had (this is my 3rd one). I LOVE that it is just a push down ‘button’ to make it spin instead of a crank. The bowl is large and heavyweight. It is nice enough to serve a large salad in for a dinner or cookout. The interior colander is plastic, but not flimsy or lightweight. The bottom has a non-skid rubber ring and it holds the bowl in place well. Thanks to the locking mechanism for the push button, it stores well. I saw some negative reviews about the brake, but I do not have an issue with it at all. I suspect this will be my last salad spinner that I will ever have to purchase! ... show more

The OXO Salad Spinner cuts drying time in half. I was so pleased with the first use. The product was very easy to assemble with clear, concise directions for proper use prior to the first spin. I was impressed by the efficiency after a few spins, it quickly expressed excess water off of the lettuce in seconds. I've since used it on other fruits and veggies, not just lettuce. I have had the OXO Good Grips salad spinner but wanted this unit made of glass because I could serve the salad in the base. I can put a cover on the salad if there's any left (although rarely that's the case). This is a VERY HEAVY glass base so be warned. I like it because it is easier to spin the greens with this solid base. It's not going to skitter away if you loosen your grip. But when it's time to clean the glass bowl, be very careful.
