I have several books by this author. I could not recommend enough! By far, my favorite kids storybook series. Starting age: babies! But bigger kids will like it too! I’m guessing up to 6 years old. I’m a grownup and I love it! The story is cute, she manages to tell the story using simple words and still rhymes! Karma Wilson is awesome! I want all her bear books! I LOVE this cute series and so do my two little boys. Two things that make me give this specific book 4 stars instead of 5 are that it was a much smaller book than I was expecting (maybe 8 in. across - the one you check out from the library is more like 12 or 13) and that the story and rhyme are sweet and fun but a little less 'meaningful' than the other books in the series. There's less of a message applicable to children. The friends end up falling asleep after trying to keep Bear up all night and then it ends. Still a fun book though. ... show more

I love the book, and so did my toddlers. .I do feel bad for the Bear because he doesn't get to hibernate the whole time. As a parent I feel the pain. Very cute story would definitely suggest it others, and buy again.
