I Hate dusting with a capital H, yet these fantastic dusters make the chore easy and almost a bit fun because it is so satisfying to watch the grime disappear from my antique furniture, large plant leaves, and dreaded baseboards. I live in the sandhills on a lot of 95% sand, so dust is a constant irritant in my life. This duster grabs all the residue without damaging my delicate porcelain decor or quaint lampshades. With a husky in the house, this duster is a lifesaver. WISH LIST: I wish the handle telescoped. I want the color not to be such a distasteful orange. It would be better in a more subdued blue, green, or my all-time favorite, PURPLE. It’s a simple duster that does not come apart while in use. Works as intended. Lightweight stable and enough flexibility with the fibers to trap the dust throughout the home. Having multiple dogs and cats and living in the middle of a dusty desert, I need to dust a lot. For years, I used just rags or the occasional feather-like duster, and they worked okay. The rags, unless they were slightly damp or I used something like Endust (do they still make that stuff?), just pushed the dust around. The faux feather dusters did mostly push the dust around. I tried Swiffers, but I really didn't like the idea of adding unnecessarily to landfills, and I didn't like the fairly expensive refills - like I said, I have to dust a lot. So I took a chance on this microfiber duster and I love it. The fabric is so soft, no issues of it being too scratchy for even the most delicate surfaces. The length allows me to dust wide swaths of flat surfaces easily, but the end is small enough to get into those smaller spaces. When it collects dust, I just take it outside and give it a good shake, and I'm ready to go on dusting. When it gets really dirty, I can just toss it in the laundry. I haven't bought a refill cover yet, or priced them, but this original one seems to hold up very well so I probably won't need to get an additional cover for quite some time unless I decide to have an extra for when I've already tossed the original into the laundry basket. The only negative is that when I first used this duster, some of the fibers were not secure and it shed a bit. I'm not talking bald spots or anything drastic, just a few stray fibers that probably should have been shaken out at the end of the manufacturing process. ... show more
