This is absolutely perfect for one of my chinchillas. He chews it right up. My other chinchilla is not overly interested but will chew a bit here and there. She's always been a bit picky with anything I give her. She still has it in her cage. I might move it to my males cage since his more interested in chewing at it.     • Can I just get the mat part?
Both bunnies love chewing on the mat part. They don't have a cage so while I don't hang it, it is still a favorite. They pretty much ignore the 3 strands of the hanging part and those get thrown away when they fall off. It's not perfect but it's clearly a preferred chew toy and I'll buy it again. I also wish it lasted longer or the mat was bigger for the price. ... show more

The star ratings for sturdiness and durability are silly. Rabiit toys are intended for destruction and ingestion. So that you rushing, furniture and blankets may be spared. This activity mat has lasted over a month with my two little chewing machines. I made them a hanging activity mat myself from rabbit safe materials I sourced from Etsy. This mat lasted almost as long as my homemade mat which was covered with grapevine shapes, fruit wood sticks and palm shapes. One of the very best oxbow products! Fun little hanging toy but probably more expensive than it is worth. Your pets interest will probably depend on how much they already like hanging and hay toys.

This is my rats' favorite toy, they love destroying it! They don't get bored of it either, which is something I can't say about any other toy of theirs. It doesn't last forever (I'm on my second,) but it's still pretty sturdy. It took my two girls about a month to reduce it to shreds, and they were constantly chewing/yanking on it.
