The tubing is lightweight, but for $260 for the frame AND cover, I did not expect a commercial hoop house! For the price, we are VERY satisfied! We plan to get another next year and use one for starting seeds early, the other for purchased starts. We live in zone 8b on the northern side of the mountain, so we lose a month to 5 weeks on either end of the season from everyone else. This hoop is to help us regain the time we lose on each end so we can actually get veg instead of just greenery! I'll update on longevity later, but we plan to roll the cover and keep it in the shed after the growing season ends, so that should help. If we get 2 years or more from the cover, I'll consider it money well spent. After the cover dies, I'll probably just get a whole new package and use the frame as a trellis for our wysteria and such. A new cover would cost as much as the entire package does at this price point! The frame is made of lightweight 1/2" tubing and m6 bolts. The tubing is lighter than EMT you see at big box stores, it's about the thickness of umbrella tubing. Honestly, the green, fiberglass reinforced, cover is about as thick as the tubing wall. It works because of triangulation. 👍 It holds up to wind and rain because of the rounded shape, but as soon as the season is over, the cover comes off because the first snowflake might be more than the frame could handle. 😏 I have hung 3" perforated drain pipe on the horizontal braces with small squirlcage fans on a thermostat to control the temperature on days when I don't want to leave the door fully open. With the windows on.each side and the large door on the end, overheating is not a large concern just yet. Come July, we may have to roll the cover off and roll shade cloth over the frame instead.     • Caved in and bent beyond repair with only a heavy rain

It wasn't even windy, just lots of rain. The lightweight tubes it's built with are very cheap, they just bend at the joints. I figured this wouldn't work out, but I decided to try it out - glad I didn't have plants in here, yet.

    • It can’t handle winds or snow. The first snow of the season crushed it.

It was quite difficult to put together. We staked it down, then added brick and it still flew. You can’t replace the cover, they don’t make them as a part and the first snow crushed it so not strong, not sturdy. It ripped with our first winds and again, you can’t replace the cover.

I bought this item for my mom so she can set it up in the backyard and she loves it. I had some help building it which is pretty simple. Love the quality of the product. So far so good! It really keeps the heat in and the cold out which is what my mother likes. I highly recommend this product!

I bought this tent to shelter some tree seedlings from winter temperatures. The tent instructions were clear, fairly easy to follow, and I was hopeful this greenhouse would work for at least a season. I really wanted it to work! It did work . . . for six weeks. Photo shows what happens with one gust of 30 mph wind (we have a weather station next to the greenhouse). The extremely small tent stakes (they are the same size as the tent stakes that go with my ultralight backpacking tent) and string the manufacturer provided to hold down the greenhouse are woefully inadequate. I had replaced them with rebar stakes and with 300 lb tension rope, plus added lengths of rope across the top of the tent to add more stability. I also tied it down to a heavy cattle panel fence that surrounds the greenhouse area. I used large bricks around the entire parameter of the greenhouse to hold down the side edges rather than the shovelfuls of soil the manufacturer recommended. What I could NOT reinforce is the thin metal tubing used for the structure. You can see in the photo how the tubing crumbled, and I imagine based on other reviews this is exactly what happens with snow and heavy rain. Note that nowhere on the Amazon retail site does the retailer mention that this greenhouse should NOT be placed in 'direct wind'. Only when you completely install the greenhouse can you read the warning flap on the inside of the greenhouse. Not certain about other customers, but I have never been anywhere in my state were there is no direct wind. In summary, this is an adequate greenhouse (hence 3 stars) IF you have no gusts of wind, no snow, and your rain comes down gently and slowly. Seriously, if that is all you experience, you are living in paradise and will be happy. However, I strongly advice purchasing this greenhouse if you have any of those conditions since the fundamental framework of metal tubing is the weak link that cannot be strengthened. ... show more

Love the green house! It is well worth the money and with just a few tweaks will also a couple last of years maybe longer! We mounted it on boards to anchor! The only thing I would say is the zippers are super cheap. They might think about adding Velcro fasteners as well as zippers.

    • Worst Greenhouse I have ever bought

I ordered 2 of these. I don't like this greenhouse. Pre-owned several green houses this size, but this is the only one that did not have a way to secure the plastic at the bottom. Everytime a good Wind Blows the entire greenhouse plastic will lift up. The post were marked wrong in many cases. For example, one post had the numbers 8 and the numbers 13. These two were completely different parts they were just mislabeled. The plastic was already torn in several places when I had received it. There were stains on the screens, and some of the ties already were dirty. Because there is no way to secure the plastic to the frame at the bottom, every type of wind blows it tears more of the plastic at the seam. I am hoping the plastic will last at least the summer months. I have purchased some regular white plastic to put over during the fall. Overall, I would not recommend this greenhouse to anyone. ... show more
