At first I thought it looked stupidly bulbous on my head...but hey my head would look stupidly ugly cracked open like a melon on the street!! Flying at 30 mph on an electric longboard without a helmet is just plain stupid, so, yeah. Fit and comfort is excellent, the dial adjuster really fine tunes the fit nicely. Good straps and buckle, it stays right where it should, even at high speed. The venting is good, esp. at speed- on an eskate you're not working as hard aerobically. A good value, and now an important part of my gear. Recommended. EDIT: a year later and it's still working well- I now also commute on a 40mph fast ebike, and wear this helmet in warmer weather. (I use a Moon snowboard helmet w/ visor mostly in colder weather) Also, my 13 yr old son now flies behind me on his own eskate- far too fast! He fought me tooth and nail, but he'll also be wearing this helmet! EDIT again- added a crazy fast e-mountain board to my quiver, muscle memory makes me want to turn it like a snowboard...well, I heel side turned in a little gravel- next thing I know my head really did snap right onto pavement stunningly hard! This helmet saved my brain and probably my life. Just a few scratches on the side of the hardshell, no foam deformation. So, be smart kids... wear a helmet!

Got in a horrible crash on my electric skateboard going over 20 mph. Slid several feet on my head. Never even felt the impact due to how well this protected my head. Ended up with a broken arm, but would probably be dead if it wasn't for this helmet.

So I just started skateboarding this week and wanted to get a reputable and safe helmet to protect myself just in case. Per Google and Amazon, the top choices for helmets were this one (OutdoorMaster) and another one by Triple Eight. Although the comment sections for both helmets are plenty they, unfortunately, didn't help me much. I found a measuring tape and measured my head around (57cm around with my hair down). The sizing information stated I would fit right at the end of a Medium and in the middle of a Large. I was really nervous due to my hair and how other comments stated the helmet fit snug. Granted helmets should be a bit snug for safety but you also don't want to get headaches. I live in Arizona and it gets HOT here - I need my helmet to move around a little bit since I know I'll be working up a sweat in it. I went ahead and ordered both the OutdoorMaster and Triple Eight helmets - 2 helmets each per brand. I didn't end up going with the OutdoorMaster helmets due to size, comfort, and profile. Details on the issues below. I did end up purchasing the Triple Eight XL/XXL helmet with a 57cm head measurement. Just a heads up, Triple Eight helmets are actually worn by well-known skaters - no joke - you can see Tony Hawk wear their helmets on Youtube and other skaters on Instagram. So I ordered both the Medium and Large OutdoorMaster helmets to test them out. The Medium BARELY - and I mean it with all seriousness - BARELY fit my head. It was a quick take-off and move on to the Large size. Now the Large did fit my head somewhat with some adjusting of the dial in the back of the helmet. However, this helmet sits high on your head and feels a bit off. Safety isn't always "fashionable" or "cool" but this helmet made me look like an egg head. It looked and felt more like a rock climbing helmet than a skating helmet. The inner liners were also thinly padded and the ticker padding felt like what should have been the basic padding. Overall this just wasn't the helmet company for me. For the price, it is $15-$20 cheaper than a Triple Eight helmet so if you just want something on your head for now or if you don't plan on using it much this would be fine (just be sure to size up). BUT if you can get a Triple Eight helmet it's a lot more comfortable and stays close to your head all around. The OutdoorMaster helmets made the top of my skull feel pretty safe but the sides and back of my head felt a little exposed.

The media could not be loaded. I left a video of my head size measure 24 in exactly so based on the reviews I shouldn't be able to fit this I'm actually wearing a do-rag while I'm riding his bike so I put the do rag on and my head fit to fit perfectly I did have to loosen the back dial strap all the way out but the chin straps feel comfortable I was able to adjust them so that the chengard words right under my neck and it wasn't too tight feels comfortable and breathable I recommend this item five stars.. @chefreddick
