I seriously cannot get over how great and wonderfully versatile this rain jacket is. It’s fully waterproof with sealed seams. It works as a windbreaker. The lack of added insulation means it works perfect as an outer layer over whatever else you’re wearing, whether it’s Winter or Summer. The material is lightweight and doesn’t have that vinyl odor that gives me a headache. It fits well, isn’t oversized. and can be tightened down at the waist if you want. Perfectly fine raincoat EXCEPT

This is a perfectly fine raincoat, it works and fits well and i like that i can fold it up into its pouch for storage. No complaints about the raincoat-ness of it. HOWEVER, while walking and moving around with my phone in my coat pocket, apps kept opening on my phone. The inside of the pockets are mesh, so it was phantom swiping or whatever. I would check my phone and have to close or exit out of apps. At one point, I realized my phone had taken two photographs of the inside of my pocket, then opened Messages and texted them to my wife. And it had opened my Gallery and attached two different GIF memes and also texted them to my wife! (Thankfully it was nothing incriminating, but you might not be so lucky.) The next day, i also discovered the phone had taken a screenshot of the texts, shared it through gmail and then emailed that to my wife as an attachment(!). Perfectly packable for Alaska cruse... or any other vacation!

Compact and waterproof!

I've worn this jacket several times in wet weather and I'm very pleased to report -- I stayed dry! The compact size of the pack is super convenient to bring to concerts, stow in my hiking backpack or stick in my travel bag.

It is as advertised. It is a shell or one layer and packable in its own separate pouch. It is exactly what one could easily have on hand while traveling. The fit is acceptable and style is just like the photo. Just what I was looking for
