  • Works Well
Style: 4.5 inches
Works pretty well and as advertised. Well made, yet lightweight. Razor sharp blade cuts both bone and wood. Cuts /opens a deer’s breast bone fine. I would not recommend you be Paul Bunyan with it, but it does do double duty. Sheath protects and covers it well. Overall, for what it is designed for, it works really well. ... show more

  • PERFECT Mobile Hunting Saw
Style: 4.5 inches
I purchased this saw for my mobile hunting essentials pack. I wanted something tough, but extremely light weight. This tiny folding saw is the perfect blend of toughness and unmatched packability. Outdoor edge hit a home run with this saw.

  • Much smaller and lighter than my old saw
Style: 4.5 inches
Just the right size for field dressing a deer. Tried it out on a old hickory tomahawk handle I had laying around the garage and it zipped right through it pretty effortlessly. The only thing I don't like is the rubberized coating on the handle, but I don't think its going to last very long. Update, I used it on the buck I harvested this year. The saw cut well but the handle got pretty slippery. I was right about the rubberized coating it started coming off during washing. ... show more

  • Works great as bone saw for deer processing, quality is decent for the price
Style: 4.5 inches
I was on the hunt (pun intended) for a foldable bone saw mainly for processing deer, and this saw fit the bill nicely. Early in the season, I put it to work and was pleased with its cutting performance. The overall quality is decent for the price, no major complaints there. While the saw did feel a bit “thin” in hand, it still got the job done as expected. The one glaring downside, however, is the case. It’s comically cheap, especially when compared to the sturdy case that came with my Outdoor Edge knife with interchangeable blades, which features a proper button-closure flap and a belt loop. The case accompanying this saw, on the other hand, looks like it was made from leftover scrap materials found on the floor of an Ikea factory, the kind used to make those fabric storage cubes like "Drona" or "Kosingen." Only this one’s in camo, and no, Ikea doesn’t make camo storage bins (as far as I know). So while the saw itself works well, don’t expect much from the flimsy excuse for a case. This Outdoor Edge bone saw is a solid performer for the price, but the accompanying case is a definite miss. If you're okay with upgrading or improvising your own carrying solution, the saw itself shouldn't disappoint. I'll keep you posted if I find out any different! ... show more

  • The best tool is the one you have when you need it
Style: 4.5 inches
I am a hunter and this little saw is perfect for my needs. Pros: 1. Compact and lightweight enough that I don’t mind leaving it mounted to the outside of my pack so it is always there in the same spot. 2. It cuts sternum (easily) and pelvis (if needed, although I rarely cut the pelvis I have a buddy who does and he’s used this saw for that a few times so far). 3. It’s Orange so, when I set it down in the woods, I can find it again 4. It cuts small branches and saplings just fine. Is a bigger saw better for this? Yes, but I have one of those and don’t ever want it in my pack and even if I did it wouldn’t be right on the hip belt ready when I need it. Cons: 1. I wish the sheath had a small plastic buckle instead of velcro so it would be quieter getting it out for small limb clearing while hunting. I may even sew one on the sheath and remove the velcro myself. ... show more

  • Great packable saw for hunting.
Style: 4.5 inches
After reading some of the negative reviews, I decided to give this saw a try anyway. This is what I’ve found after carrying it for a few weeks in my pack and finally using it to cut some deer leg bone. It works as designed. It’s super small, well made and very light. Just what you’d want to pack around. Sure a Wyoming saw is heavier duty, but they are bulky and heavy. The handle is aluminum, the case is very light nylon. Looks and feels well made. I will say, it took a little moments to get the feel of how it cuts, but after I got the hang of it, both deer legs were cut quickly. I’d recommend. ... show more

  • Too flimsy
Style: 4.5 inches
Handle looks nice and sturdy. Blade is too thin and bends easily. The teeth don’t look as precisely made as others I’ve seen. The carry pouch is thin and poorly sewn.

  • Great tool for field processing
Style: 4.5 inches
Absolutely great tool to cut sternum and pelvis aiding in expedited meat cool down. Makes field gut prep a breeze. Light and sharp has a blunt tip as not to penetrate or create unwanted cuts.
