I got this outdoor cruiser for my five year old son for his birthday. I wanted to try out a 12 volt model because I think he has outgrown his 6 volts. This thing is built like a little tank. My son is not exactly gentle with his toys, but this car has taken a beating and keeps on chugging. The plastic is solid, the tires are chunky, and the overall construction feels sturdy enough to handle his back yard off road adventures. The 12 volt battery is where it is at. We have had other ride on cars that barely made it around the block before needing a recharge. This one has a decent amount of juice, giving my son at least a good hour or so of continuous riding before needing to be plugged in again. The remote control is awesome. It gives me the power to stop, steer, and even adjust the speed when my son inevitably got a little too wild or lost control. It is also handy for those moments when he gets to distracted by his siblings and forgets they are behind the wheel. As far as navigating different terrain goes, it is not going to win any rock crawling competitions but it handles our grassy bumpy backyard and the crooked sidewalk with ease. The spring suspension definitely helps smooth things out, making for a more comfortable ride. My only minor gripe is that the assembly instructions could be a bit clearer. It took a bit of head scratching and a few choice words to get everything put together. But hey that is probably just me being impatient. I am happy with my purchase of this 12 volt outdoor ride on toy overall. It has been a huge hit in our household. It is tough, it has got decent battery life, and the remote control gives parents some much needed peace of mind. It is a good value for the money. This little ride on car is absolutely adorable. The attention to detail makes it so much fun and realistic to drive. To me, it looks like a real, mini bronco. It doesn’t go too fast, it tops out at 4mph, and the speed is easily manageable by little kids. It drives well over grass, small curbs like the step up to my driveway, etc. The motor is powerful enough to handle a bit of rough terrain and hills. I like that it comes with a remote control so I can slow it down if it gets going too fast. The seatbelt feels secure, I like how it goes over the shoulder instead of just being a lap belt. The 12V battery is powerful and provides a nice long ride time. Under steady use, it will run for about an hour. Since it is never driven steadily for that long, I find it lasts a lot longer. There is a nice voice prompt when the battery gets low to remind me to plug it in. It’s a great car with room enough for 2 littles. ... show more

This outdoor cruiser couldn’t be more adorable! I decided to splurge and gift one to my niece for her 3rd birthday last week. She had an absolute blast driving around. The car itself comes with two seats, which is perfect for her to ride around in with her cousin, or with several dolls in tow! The car itself comes with a seatbelt as well as an option for parental control over the vehicle using a remote control which adds an extra level of safety in mind. The time to fully charge the vehicle takes about 8-12 hours (overnight), but this just means more time for the kids to play once completely charged! The vehicle is push to start and an easy grip steering wheel, making it easy for children to use. The car doors also lock which is just an added bonus for safety! The wheels are wear resistant to make for a longer lasting vehicle and it is capable of traversing various terrains such as grass, pavement, or even gravel. I couldn’t recommend this vehicle more if you have children of your own or if you know children around ages 3 to 8 years old. It is absolutely sure to give them the fun of driving like mom and dad. The description said could hold 2 small kiddos. However, it can only hold 2 small dolls. My son isn’t even 2 yet (17 month’s currently) and he fits perfectly but no room for a fellow kid. The battery lasts awhile and the foot pedal isn’t too hard to push the my son was able to figure that part out within seconds of being in the car.
