To avoid running my generator at night in the event of a blackout, I use the Oupes Mega 3. I plug the unit's 30 amp output into my transfer panel. It will run my two fridges, two freezers, and various lights and outlets for almost 10 hours. This will only run 120v appliances, so no 240v, but I was aware of this prior to purchase. The Oupes app is sufficient for monitoring the battery percentage, time remaining, and the current load. The unit is well-built, and I have had zero issues with it since it arrived. We are talking $ ("Real" Hard solar panels (I wouldn't mess with the portable panels as you will be heart broken but they are doing a good job with the power...better than my hard panels of 4 - 485 Watt Panels = $1,000, 200ft Wire Run 2 - #4AWG + 1 - #6 ground $800 // Pro Tran 2 Transfer Switch $400 + // I bought the Predator 5,000 W Inverter Generator Harbor F. $1,200 total...Make sure you buy an "Inverter" style for "Clean" power or you'll be sorry!...PS: You can also raise the idle of an older generator,...just make sure you got 110 Volts 60 Hz...verify with a "Kill-O-Watt" meter ) ((Personally" If you go: *Mega 3, *Generator... Waited to write review to actually use it. Used it to power up 100 watt switch over panel. Powered necessary items during outage. Freezer, refrigerator, TV 😀, led lights, microwave, computers, and furnace. Ran almost 11 hours down to 10% from 100%. During heavy power draw fan comes on and is audible (in garage I don't care). It would not power my 30 amp well pump. I also used it to power my rv over night and only used 32% of capacity. I am very happy with it's performance. ... show more

Disappointed – Device Failed With Error E020 and No Support I purchased the OUPES (OPEX) Mega 3 in June while overseas and later brought it to Jamaica. During Hurricane Melissa, the unit was used only twice and worked normally. After that, the battery level was around 70%, and the unit was stored safely. When electricity was restored recently, I attempted to recharge the unit, but it immediately showed error code E020 and would not charge or function. I left it for a couple of days and tried again, but the same issue remained. The device failed despite very light use. What makes this more frustrating is the lack of response from OUPES customer support. Several attempts were made to contact them, but there has been no reply or assistance. This product was purchased as an emergency power solution, and it failed when reliability mattered most. Additionally, returning or repairing the unit from Jamaica will be complicated and costly. Based on this experience, I am very disappointed and cannot confidently recommend this product. ... show more

The seller really made some great concessions with me due to my friend ordering the wrong part and waiting a very long time so that it was not returnable. In fairness the seller made every effort to help me. The product is great I especially loved UPS feature which allows the power to pass through and for the device to function as a UPS which in my case will run my refrigerator for about 20 hours in the case of a power outage. ... show more
