This case has already protected my phone from several drops. Highly recommend you have a lens and screen protector however. The case does little to protect those. The may safe version feels less durable than the non mag safe one but this is a good case that has proven its worth already.

I ordered this case to house my new iPhone13 Pro in, this was after reading other peoples reviews. Some ranging to the phone not fitting in the case and others complaining about the holster not being free, or it coming with one. 1. The phone fits in the case perfectly, maybe it is you that does not know how to install a phone in a case or at least go online and read instructions if it no working right. 2. The holster, yes this does not come with a holster. Probably because not everyone wants one/needs one. Also it cuts down on the cost of having to make packaging for one and include it with every case, however... IT IS FREE! Just follow the instructions that are included with the case. It does show up as $15 for the holster, which isn't bad, but when you get to the end of the "purchase" the promo code takes off the cost of the holster and shipping and handling. I did not pay a dime out of pocket for the holster, shipped all the way to South Central Florida. I like the thin design of the case and so far it has worked great with magsafe prods. ... show more

I bought this product because my phone dropped and starting to scratch on the edges. Although it's not so easy to get on, it's very protective once it's on. It stays on really well even if you fidget with it, like me. The only small issue is that it will start to get very scratched on the back. The cover to the lightning port ripped off after only a few months of typical use. Previous versions of this case lasted years before that issue. Other than that it’s a fantastic case for the money.

    • It almost has a sleek look to it
The protection this case offers is good. It has a substantial rubber edge so impacts from being dropped should be minimized. I used a plastic tool to install the plastic rim that inserts into the case. It pretty much locks the rubber and plastic case into position. Trying to open the charging port the first time. I tried to press really hard on it to flip it open. But after a week I learned to tug down a bit with one finger to create a larger gap and used another finger to pull down on the tab. It’s easier than trying to use brute force to push the tab out with one finger. To use the silent mode switch I needed to do a strong push to reach the switch. Someone with smaller fingers should have it easier. I dropped my phone from a treadmill at the gym and no issues. It bounced off the edge of the treadmill and onto the floor. The thickness of the phone case gives me the impression that it’s a large phone. I’m glad I didn’t get a max version of the iPhone. But it still fits easily into my rear pocket when I’m wearing jeans. It fits into a front pocket if I’m wearing shorts. I like this case. It doesn’t attract any attention. I will have to put more time with the phone before I decide on how durable this case is. ... show more

This is replacement for same case. After 2 years the outside layer was wearing and the piece that seals the battery compartment came off. This is to be expected after 2 years of abuse- my phone stayed protected with no cracks or breakage even after many drops.

    • does not protect back glass, holster is not free
the iphone X case was great, never had an issue and dropped my phone many times, after owning the case and my new iphone for less than a month and dropping it once i found my back glass was broken! iphone 13 is a thicker phone and the new otterbox defender is thinner. iphone x did not have a back glass but the new 13 does, additionally defender no longer includes the holster and you have to order seperately, although you get a coupon with a code to order the holster for free, it still costs and additional $9.50 to get it shipped to you. Come on Otterbox!!! what happened to your quality? you are now selling the same quality of the cheep cases. considering returning and buying a less expensive case. ... show more
