I previously had this case for the Samsung s21 ultra and it lasted me for years with hundreds of drops. Read a lot of reviews about this one compared to the pro saying it wasn't near as good. this one is perfect and every corner fits snug and clicks right in. puts a decent holding size on the pixel 8. not too big. not too small and just enough elevation so that the screen nor cameras get damaged from drops. also, I have never used a screen protector on the last two phones using this case because A. the glass is mostly a sort of gorilla, and B, this case keeps the screen off of the ground from any drop at a decent distance. It's definitely very sturdy. Was my first OtterBox purchase. Had to go online to figure out how to install it on my phone. I'm not wild about the cover with the large clip. It doesn't feel like it would securely clip the phone to my belt. Otherwise the rest of it protects the phone very well. I gave this a 3 only because I've had otter boxes before and the quality is great. The protection is awesome. This does not hold up to the past ones I've had. Not a good value for the money. Grip is fine but bulky. They do have other colors but I always get black. The clip snags constantly and the removing and reattaching the phone from holder is a nightmare. The corners don't secure well also. I'm so mixed. I love otter boxes but I hate this one. ... show more

I had another phone case for my Google pixel 8. It was ridiculously slippery. I kept dropping the phone and breaking the screen protector. That's when I looked for the OtterBox. I have had an OtterBox in the past, but not for my pixel. My favorite feature is that you don't need a screen protector. I have not dropped this once. I have not used the kickstand.
