VIDEO REVIEW COMING ~*~ I don't understand the negative reviews for this, unless the other reviewers didn't read the product description, or were misled by product illustrations that show a cover/case along with the folio (as an example), or reviewers didn't realize this folio requires a MagSafe compatible phone (iPhone 12 or later) AND a MagSafe compatible case to attach to. See my pics for the product box disclaimers. To get those out of the way: 1. You must use this with at least a MagSafe compatible case for the iPhone 12 or newer. A separate case is NOT INCLUDED. Otterbox' Symmetry or Defender cases are among those recommended. I tested this folio with an Apple Leather Case with MagSafe for 14 Plus, and it works perfectly. Perfectly! 2. You cannot use this with a non-MagSafe case/cover. It will likely fall off. Duh. RTFM. 3. You can try to use this with an iPhone 14 Plus (without a case/cover), but it will be loose and oversized. The "nude iPhone" is likely to slide around a bit against the folio front. It's not an ideal fit, and the Folio is likely to be knocked off. That said, this is a brilliant (if not terribly economical) idea. If you already have a simple case or cover for your iPhone, this simply attaches to it providing a front screen cover, slots for three cards, a slot for receipts or cash, and a magnetic latch to hold it closed. If you do NOT have such a cover, you have to buy one for additional cost. But you can choose what cover you buy! The use case is simple. You have a slim or bumper case for your phone that you leave on at home. When you go out, you need to bring a photo ID and one or two cards. You can attach an Apple Leather MagSafe Wallet, but that doesn't protect the screen. You can slide the phone and the Wallet into a larger slipcover, but then you have to slide the phone out to use it. SO you slap this Folio on, insert a couple of cards, and off you go. When you return home, you remove the Folio (just pull off), and you're done. Minimum effort is required pulling the folio off, and there's no extra bulk at home. The case seems to be designed to have room for three plastic cards in the cover's slots, but this pushes the cover off the iPhone screen a bit, awkwardly in my view. A screen protector is HIGHLY recommended, particularly if ANY of your cards have a metal substrate or coating (like Chase's Amazon Prime VISA card). This Folio does NOT support Find My app support like the Apple Wallets, it contains no NFC chip. The iPhone does not even indicate the Folio attaching like it will for Apple's covers, MagSafe Wallet, or MagSafe Battery Pack. This Folio does not support attaching a MagSafe Wallet or other accessory to its back, it does not appear to have the positioning magnet for other accessories. But it will hold onto a MagSafe Charger, rather like the iPhone 12 Leather Sleeve. Attaching an Apple MagSafe Wallet or similar, it is likely to slide off. You have been warned. I haven't had the Otterbox Detachable Folio Wallet long enough to judge it's durability, but it seems to be made of suitable pleather material. The interior slots are slender material, probably won't hold up to repeated rough use. My recommendation: keep your government issued photo ID in there, maybe an all-uses credit or debit card, but use Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch to play for things when you're able to. If you've got the money for this Detachable Folio AND a MagSafe cover for your iPhone, this is a handy, flexible combination. It adds some bulk, so for sliding into a suit jacket pocket, I might opt for the phone and Apple MagSafe Wallet, but dropping into a backpack, purse, messenger bag, or cargo pant pocket, this is a more robust form of protection with basic wallet functions (room for three cards/IDs and a $20 bill). I just love it. The two cases I ordered together are a color match. The only drawback is when you have it folded back there is no hole for the camera so you have to remove the phone or unfold it to take a picture. The case is magnetic and holds the phone tightly.
