  • 100% authentic and reliable
I've ordered 3 sets of these from Auto Light Industries Inc., which always has the best price, at 2 week intervals and all of them are 100% authentic OSRAM CBBs that came packaged very well with bubble wrap. I used OSRAM's verification utility to verify serial numbers and also physically inspected them for the trademark laser welds, smooth quarts glass at top and bottom, full length ceramic rod, bumps on the glass that holds the capsule, the shape of the capsule, the angle of the base, and that everything was aligned properly. Even if you don't understand all that, just know that Auto Light Industry Inc. is selling authentic bulbs. As for the light output, they're definitely blue in the 6000K range through a clear lens and 35W ballast. They are about 5500K in color through a coated lens like a G5 EX or MD2S 5.0 using a 35W ballast; but 4800K true white with a tinge of warmth using a 45W Hylux ballast with 5.0's coated lens, this is my set up. Please understand your setup before "reviewing" the color output of these bulbs and understand that blue light is actually terrible for being able to see and will hurt oncoming traffic's night vision. So if you run these, do so responsibly. ... show more

  • The only choice for Morimoto D2S 5.0 projectors.
I can't believe that I just dropped $120 on HID bulbs at this point in my life. I was supposed to be upgrading to LED projectors by now in my headlight retrofit, but since those ended up sucking, I went back to HIDs in my retrofit. These were recommended, as they're cool enough to still be seen as white light output through my Morimoto Mini D2S 5.0 projectors which are "hampered" by the anti-reflective coating on their lenses. I like these bulbs, even though I shudder to think about replacing them in a few years time. But HID bulbs always last longer than you think, and for the price(even at a huge discount from other retrofit parts shops) and the brand, these should last a good 4-5 years of normal use. I'll update if anything else occurs and see if I can also get a decent output shot to try and emulate the color. As for the color: I'm measuring this through the anti-reflective coating on these projectors I bought and while the output is finally white, it's more like a 5000K(natural white with just a hint of yellow when seen at certain angles, but not like the color of LED bulbs which are much more like 6000K and kinda purplish/white) color through these lenses. I'm sure that through another type of clear lens, these will definitely be on the cooler side of the spectrum, especially considering how much AR lenses really warm up the color on HID bulbs. But in all I'm happy with the performance of these bulbs, not so happy with the fact that I purchased new ballasts for these bulbs and spent all in nearly $400 for my retrofit upgrade. But if you have a clear lens projector, you could probably get away with the OSRAM CBIs rather than these and achieve the same color output as I did with these. I'll update further down the road about my experience with these bulbs. Give 'em a shot! Update: I added a picture from a dark road to get the general idea. Color replication isn't perfect in this picture, but you'll get an idea as to how these bulbs perform in the D2S 5.0 projectors. ... show more

  • The price on amazon is really good compared to other sites
The price on amazon is really good compared to other sites, was a bit skeptical if they were genuine Osram. The seller Auto Light informed me they where legit. When i got the bulbs verified they were genuine on Osram's website. These bulbs are pretty bright closer to 5000k than the advertised 7000k. Would update if the bulbs color shift over time. Would definitely recommend them if your looking for a more cool color without degrading performance much. ... show more

  • Great whiter white bulbs
Ok lets get one thing straight, THESE ARE NOT 7000K bulbs. At 7000K, you can visibly tell they have a blue tint. These absolutely do not. They are cooler than any halogen bulb, very much closer to 5000K. Not blue, but not orange either. You can certainly tell the difference when youre next to a car that uses conventional halogen bulbs. I paired these with a pair of 6500K LED bulbs and the led's are a lot bluer. So no, they are not "blue-ish" As for brightness, these will certainly light up the road. Dont expect blinding brightness from these, but they are certainly a lot brighter than any "budget" replacement you'll find here on amazon. Believe me, ive tried a few. I really liked these bulbs. They give off a modern look while retaining as much brightness as they can given their higher kelvin rating. Good job Osram, these are good. Now lets see when they release an actual 7000K bulb. ... show more

  • Legit! Authentic!
You get the legit product verified @ osram website and half the price compared to other online store. Cool blue boost, initial start up light appears to be 7000k for few seconds then turns white 5000-5500k. I did not notice any slight blue hint. This was observed on a cloudy day 1pm PNW. Was able to drive at night and notice the cutt-off side beam is more sharp. Was able to take a photo of it and to my surprise it looks like a cool ice blue, but in my naked eye it's pure white. ... show more

  • The seller is good. The Osram CBB7000K is disappointing!!!
The seller is very quick to ship! Very efficient! I prefer white with little Bluish. So, I bought 3 models of new HID and used for a few hours. When comparing Osram CBA6000K with CBB7000K, they are basically the same. The 7000K might give a few more Lux than 6000K. But, the physical eyes can’t tell the difference. When comparing Philips WXX2 6000K with Osram CBB7000K. I am quite disappointed by the CBB7000K. In picture, they look the same. In real, I can see the CBB7000K is a bit more yellow than Philips 6000K. The radiant of Philips is a bit bluish. The radiant of CBB7000K is tend to be a bit yellow. If CBB7000K is really 7000K, the Philips can market the Ultinon6000K as 8000K. ... show more

  • No joke they are BRIGHT!
Hands down these are the best HID replacement bulbs I have ever installed. Significantly brighter than Brand New OEM bulbs. I read the reviews with scepticism but no joke they are awesome! I installed them on my Land Rover LR3. They look great!
