    • Cuts cleanly through extruded aluminum

I bought this to cut straight and miter joints in aluminum handrails. I tested the blade on a different (thicker walled) aluminum extrusion that I had lying around. The first cut was terrible - but then I discovered that I had mounted the blade backwards. Be aware that the graphics on the blade are on the opposite side to most blades, and for the Hitachi 15" miter saw are not visible when mounted, unlike Hitachi blades. It was my fault though, as the blade does have arrows printed on it showing correct rotational direction. When re-mounted correctly the blade cuts exceptionally cleanly through thick-walled aluminum extrusion. ... show more
